The big hoopla about a Tempest Barb is the marriage of "Tempest" from 6 levels of ranger and "CritII" from 14 levels of barb. But that cant be achieved until level cap increase to 20. I wouldnt recommend investing too much time on this at least until it hits Risia. And that won't be until mod 9, possibly a year away.

Until then please roll up a cleric, we need more of those
