As this is the first time that I have seen Greater False Life on a Shield, I mistakenly thought it might have some value? Is this really the case?

Well, I wouldn't call it vendor trash.. And for someone who doesn't want to go farming for the shield fragments in the Necropolis it might make an allright substitute. But I'm pretty sure most people that really want a shield with greater false life would be aiming for grabbing the shield fragments to get this one....

While I agree that the shield fragment shield is a better item, it can't be moved from character to character and requires a lot of grind. This shield would not be offered if I ever planned on making a Cleric but I can not seem to get past 4th level with mine At any rate this item is still up for trade and if I don't hear anything back in a couple of days I will try the AH and then vender

Any cleric who wastes a full shield set on that shield is really kidding themselves.
1) Magi gets overridden by a shroud item 3 times over.
2) twighlight on a shield for a class that has zero spell failure with heavy shields is a waste.
3) Mithral is hardly usefull to a class whos AC almost never matters (I pity the group being healed by an "AC" cleric).
4) The +4 enhancement vs the OP's +1 is about as usefull as the twighlight property.

So all in all, the OP's shield is a much better option for a cleric than the litany shield, though I would never recommend a shield to ANY cleric...

Well if you assume blue dragon armour, you can probably assume a +9 wisdom item (or more likely ex. stalemate 1 goggles for +6 wisdom, and ex. wis 1, 2 on scepter) as it would most likely take fewer shroud runs to get a tier 3 wisdom scepter than tor runs to get 25 scales. Those **** scales sure are hard to get on the AH now, and I need a set for my new WF caster.

The shield is a ML 12. Make me a fair offer and its yours I currently need Twigs, Funk, PLAT, & large ingredients. I know its value is only in the 50K range or that is what I suspect, so make a fair offer and it's yours.

I use a sup pot 6 scepter in main hand with a wis 9 morningstar in the off hand and wear the blue dragon FP. Getting the dragon plate was key so I could ditch the greenblade and open up a slot for the wis 9 item.

I didn't grind for the scales, I sold a robe of the archmagi and bought the scales when you could still get them for around 350k-400k, but like you said, they are a bit harder to come by these days.

I just posted a GFL shield on the AH for a 25K buyout or somewhere about there.

My cleric carries a Sup VI warhammer in one hand and a +6 Con/+3 Wisdom greensteel morningstar in the other (have the necklace from the hound so I didn't need a +9 Wisom weapon).
