Intimidating hound - Bug? question

On all 3 difficulties of the hound raid I am getting -12 to intimidate (54 intim getting only +42 on rolls)

I could see -4 as he is large but where is the other -8 coming from? any ideas? has anyone else seen this?

She is more than large. You're seeing a Huge penalty.

So large = -4 and huge = -12?

If that is the case then it makes sense I guess. Although why it is classified as huge when things twice its size are only large is baffling.

actually, dwarf is medium, and -12 makes Xy'zzy 3 sizes larger than you: large>huge>gargantuan.

Graphical size is not the best indicator of such things. The pygmy trolls (still "large") in VoN 3 and the large mephits (still "medium") in a few of the older quests are good examples of this.

Also, as mentioned, she is a gargantuan size and to make it easier on dungeon building and collision detection she was probably made visually smaller than she should be (along with other reasons, likely).

Thanks for the info, It seems that this is working as intended and not a bug. Ill just up my timidate
