Smite Evil dmg + question

whats the formula used to calculate the damage in smite evil, it just says its based on paladin level is that just a straight across weapon damage+pally level or is it something different thanks!

(paladin level - 1)*3 +10

Level 1 = 10
Level 2 = 13
Level 3 = 16
Level 4 = 19
...etc until
Level 16 = 55

This is considered additional base damage so you multiply it on any critical.
