I know smiting rapiers are worth less than banishing rapiers and w/p ss are worth less than w/p rapier. Accordingly, are a banishing ss and smiting rapier about equal?

Not to me.............I would ggggllllaaaadddllllyyyy trade you a couple banishing short swords for smiting rapiers if that is the side of the equation your on.

Banishing shortswords are not in the same category as smiting rapiers, about 1/4 the value or less, maybe even as low as 1/8th the value.

Even though there is a bunch more uses today for the banishers...........the 10% extra 'insta' kill is where it is at and were talking about tweeking the best for the best. I think boldrin has it about right at the 4-1 ish range and 20-1 if it was smiting short swords for banishing rapier.
