a broke-ass guildie of mine just bought one so if he can afford it, it porbably ain't worth much. That said, who doesn't want to teleport?!??! after running a caster, admin is a pain when you have to run from place to place....

Its actually highly sought after.
Im not talkin' w/p rapier sought after, mebbe two, three large scales type dealio...
Its worth quite a bit...bloodstone would be a fair trade, might take more than that.
Its rare, it drops in a very seldom ran quest...

As far as plat amounts i think JRP has about the right amount....as far as trade value......i don't know anyone who would be willing to trade 2-3 Lg Scales for one.....but you never know

This is one of those things that while basically a novelty item, a few people will go nuts trying to trade for one. I know a guy who traded a smiting scimitar for one when smiters were a lot less common than they are now.
