Question PLAYABLE Haggle Bard - Build Help Please!

I am new to bards, and would like to build one mainly for haggling, BUT he must be playable to reach level cap . I would love to hear your suggestions on builds that might work for this. If you have seen my other post you will know that I have practically no gold , no capped character to twink this with. This will all come with time , but for now do not make assumptions on +3 tomes at level 1, uber geer, etc.

    Thanks!

Don't know why I am smiley happy today.

Just build a maxed charisma human bard any way you want until you hit the level cap, keeping your charisma and Haggle skill maxed. Then you can swap out your more-useful feats for SF: Haggle and other Haggle-boosting feats. You can also respec your enhancements to have the highest Charisma, Haggle, and HV levels available at that point. That way, your character can be completely viable while leveling, but you can easily raise his haggle when you decide to. Who knows, you might decide to keep him more playable and not worry about those extra few points of Haggle in the end.

Easy....you can do Crowd Control, Buffing, and Healing until level cap. You shouldn't have any problem getting groups as long as you're willing to be the main/support healer. Don't underestimate the power of your buffs and crowd control ability. Spellsinger is a great synergy with the crowd control focus and clerics / arcanes will love you.

Human 16 Bard (1 racial ENH for CHA and for the Versatility ENH)
Starting with 18CHA, 16CON (HP to survive incidents), 14 STR (carrying capacity)
Drop CON to 14 if you don't have a 32pt. build unlocked

Feats before cap / Haggle conversion:
    Extend
    Spell Focus: Enchantment
    Skill Focus: UMD
    Greater Spell Focus: Enchantment
    MT
    Empower Healing
    Spell Pen

    Feats after Haggle conversion:
    Extend
    Spell Focus: Enchantment
    Skill Focus: Haggle
    Negotiator
    MT
    Empower Healing
    Spell Pen

Swap out enhancements to include Haggle IV and Human Versatility IV when you're ready. You will still be a really valuable support character and I also recommend keeping your main song maxed for damage.

As far as making a Bard playable, the most important thing is having Inspired Attack 1 (2 or 3 is even better, but a lot of AP spent) and Inspired Damage 3.

I'd agree with the other recommendations people have given. You will be in demand for Shroud and Hound raids at endgame too.

yes, the truth is, you don't need to anything really special to be a good Haggle bard... Just max out CHA, and max out your Haggle skill... Everything else (feats and enhancements that help Haggle can all be respeced at any time).

Go human (so you can get the Human skill boost enhancement) and max out your CHA. Note that maxing out your CHA means you'll be awesome at bard spells too... so there's no real tradeoff here...

Pretty much EVERY bard is a decent haggle bard

I found the skill points on Cacophonous to stuff 19 points into Haggle.

Not unhappy with that decision - Gtar isn't on all the time, after all.

I turned my old Battle Bard (16 Bard) into a haggle bot, So i didnt see a reason to put points into haggle on my new one(My new one has 14 more str than my old one :P you can see the reason for a reroll)

What precisely would you like to see that isn't already listed? I'm not trying to be snarky but I don't have Gwalchmai plugged into some sort of build calculator

Current Haggle is 70 self-buffed IIRC and still lacking the Head of Good Fortune, +3CHA Tome, and Exceptional CHA Shroud weapon.

My haggle bard has a 74 Haggle, self-buffed, plus bard song and a +3 Pot...and is still very useable in raids. I don't hit worth ****, but I buff like a champ, and have oodles of CC...as well as can pretend to be a cleric when needed with very little drop-off as I have tons of mana as well as the UMD for scrolls. Depends on what you want your Haggle-Bard to do. If you want a fighting bard, spec him like a fighting bard but max CHR and take all the Haggle enhancements, maybe a feat or two, and get some good items. As long as you pop your 4pts into haggle at level 1 and add another each level, you should be fine for the most part...if you want him maxed out...take the feats and farm some items and pray for a +3 tome (still waiting for mine...DO YOU HEAR ME TURBINE?? HOW LONG MUST I BEG ON BENDED KNEE HERE?????)

Nope. The name comes from a prominent hero in the Welsh version of Arthurian legend....Gawain in the English versions.
