Your Pet Peeves, what are they?

I have a few and will add more later as I think of them.

1.People with voice activated mics with a nasal whissle and or a loud keyboard.
(this next one is kinda strange)
2.I hate it when I am at the house D vendor and somone runs infront of me and stands on the counter top. Or I come into the store and the vendor is practically impossible to find due to people on the counter top blocking him from view.

I know the second one is a little goofy but for some reason it gets me all in a twist. I even go so far as to RP a little in stores insulting people on their up-bringing for not being taught it was improper to stand on a merchants counter top.

Takes a lot to bother me really. Ive played with some of the rudest, annoying, and meanest people you could imagine. I dont take much personal................ its just a game. I find people try to be as polite as possible when they are in arms reach, so the reverse does not surprise me.

With respect to peeve #2 I hear ya.......... and even though its only virtual, I do step out of peoples way when I walk up to a vendor. (but I do stand on the counter)

What I dont like is when people form a party to run a quest and then start to boast about how uber they are. Like the guy who says:

Guy A says - " I pulled 3 sets of +5 mitheral plate yesterday."
Guy B says - " Yeah, I usually just vendor that trash. Unless its also fearsome or invulnerable.... I can always use a few more"
Guy A says - " Normally, I dont wear armor. I can hit 70 in robes but wanna try a different build out"
Guy C drops dead fending off mobs while the other 2 are busy talking
Guy A says - " Dude!!! what happened"
Guy B says - "This quest is so easy I usually solo it, so I figured you would be fine.... maybe its just me"


If I could push a button and send 50K volts through these guys chairs.............. I soooo would.

I hate nothing in the game more than the guy with the "Know The Way" LFM up on the first day of new content. Thats just wrong, people, and we should be willing to help out people that have no idea how to get out there.

or anything like that and I tend not to join the group................ just because if someone gets in trouble I will try and help when I can and expect the same of others.

People who do nothing but rag on the game while we're in the middle of playing it. I understand that the forum is a place to vent and point out some needed changes/fixes, and can also understand the occasional frustrated mutters and curses upon the devs when there's a bug that's causing serious issues at that moment. But people who gleefully point out every minor defect every three minutes? Bleh. I wouldn't even notice half the stuff people get so worked up about if they weren't constantly pointing it out.

My pet peeve;

Opening a chest and seeing it empty. Not the loot, the visual graphic. I would LOVE to see a chest filled with gold when I open it.

Playing my Penitent Rogue which I've had around forever and a day and someone starts: the box is over here. While they are jumping up and down.

Playing my Monk: Ig'nent player A "how do you like playing your monk? I normally don't invite monks, count yourself lucky." My equally ig'nent answer: "I hate it really. Hold on! I have to recall to the inn for Ki." (Party): You leave your party.

Gotta love people showing you how to play a character. I think the problem is people assume its either your first character or they feel good showing that they know were something is too.


Dejafu, good one also. It can be irritating listening to constant nit picking. I dont know any PnP game that the DM perfectly described a room or even controlled a monster NPC the way we all think a critter of that intelligence should act.

I just thought of another one I really have grown to hate.


3. The people who feel the need to either put their AC breakdown in their build so we all can be envious. Or the people who also feel the need to write how many tomes they have used on their current character. Yet they still seem to be the person calling for heal/haste/blur/barkskin and stoneskin (not in that order usually). Then calling for a rez.

4. The people who get agro and run around in circles (insert any class here because its a person issue not a class) I usually give them 1 lap around me before I move onto the next critter.

5. Internet speak (I know this is an issue very touchy with people)
Teh=the? not sure on this one since they both take the same letters but seem to be re-aranged
Piking=Being lazy in a quest and not contributing. I cant figure out what a fish or a pole-arm have to do with sitting and doing nothing.
Meh=I have no idea is it a term for I dont care or its so so or what it seems nobody knows but people say it alot.

This concludes this installment I will add more if I think of any. My brain churns with things that irritate me.

Same as the OP...I hate people that run in and stand in front of me. I always try and stand to the side of someone else.

And the second post reminded me of a lil story.

We get a PuG going for Tor and we zone in. The caster is telling everyone how to do thsi and how to do that. I kinda got sick
of him and told him "Just make sure you have flesh to stone and keep me hasted and we'll be good" He didnt like that.
So we're going along, going along, and he's all the time runnin his mouth. I keep being lippy with him...and it stopped ****ing me off and started to amuse me. Anyways we get to the Gatekeeper and he's on one side with a cleric and my ranger. So he's telling everyone how to do this part, how easy it was and how fast these skellies would go down. So I think, meh Im gonna go AFK, get myself something to eat...so I did. When I came back our side is dead and the casters SCREAMING at me dubya tee eff are you doing?? I said "LOL, I thought this was easy?" He said "You're supposed to draw aggro off me" I said "With what?!? You're laying down five firewalls and my lvl12 ranger has rapiers..."

Another pet peeve of mine is the total and utter noob on Argo who ALWAYS puts up LFM's with "Experienced people please, No noobs" in EVERY SINGLE group he tries to form. That ****es me off no end. I dont mind people putting that up if they are known to be good players, or doing something that takes a little concentration, but this guy is an obnoxious, loud mouth, know nothing noob who wants to be carried through quests.

our LFMs sometime say "No Tards" "Be L33t" and "Be Uber" Morons...normally those are the people that mess up that whole raid.
