If it works out, I'm sure there will be more, especially if it's fun.

As for not enough time, you Monks are gonna clean up in less than an hour! By that time, the Bard group won't even be full yet.

I have also been thinking of that nasty fire elemetal possible in part 2 as well. *note to self buy 100 fireshield scrolls* Thanks
Yeah, I find that annoying on Battledrums too because I like it when my Madstone boots go off. Can't be doing that if I want to use the scrolls. I usually do the scroll just before the madstone, then run in, get 40 seconds of good whacks in then switch to pots.

Woot, I get to make another inflitrate-the-bards check! But since I kinda used bluff as my dump skill, let's try this...

In an effort to bridge the gap between our professions, I offer my skills as sorcerer. We can learn more from each other, I can learn the beauty of music, and perhaps help bards fine tune the art of the 300 damage firewall. We are both gifted in the arcane, yet do not bother with boring books and learning - magic comes to us as easily as song comes to birds. So strengthened by what we have in common, complementing each other in our differences, no foe can stand against us, and we forge a tale for the ages! (And it has nothing at all to do with bard chicks being really really cute. Nope. Nothing at all)

Seems to me this fingerwiggler is just looking to score a date... Unfortunatly for him he lacks the social skills needed to con, er finese his way into the finest resteraunt, or say aquire the best seat at the play (albeit by reminding the usher's which crimelord owns the building). Or when it comes down to it even present the finest gift in all of Stormreach at no charge. I guess what I'm getting at is bards are about skills, combined with charming melodies. You can sit and stare at the jar of orange juice all you want, because it says concentrate, but that is not the skill required for this group of indivuals.

Now, onward to my second point. Bards by nature are a shady sort. Kind of like carnies. Now rogues albeit are by far the lighter in eyes of many... nevermind I diverge. What I am to say is... a Pali?!?!?! C'mon those boys are so rigid in their "codes" and "ethics" they'll be sitting there the whole time trying to figure out if it is just to party with all these "free-willed" individuals or just let them go off into the testing grounds to be slaughtered. You need a class with class my dear. I say bring a rogue with you, it'll be unconventional and savvy, you savvy? Besides this rogue is married to a bard that would come with as well. And yes, my bluff is high enough to make you believe that I can play an instrument, besides the silver tongue.

    ~Azrim~ except no substitutions

P.S. I expect a bardic tale told of the journey, after all that is why all the other runs include a bard.

Ahh my dear lady, hardly at all. Why I merely seek to create new bonds between the free-spirited arcanes, and our love for free and joyful magic, of which I'm sad to realize you know nothing about. As for social graces, a charming personality, some diplomacy and the fine art of haggling will procure you almost anything you desire, and when that fails, 'accidentally' disintegrating something very large in front of the stubborn individuals tends to provide that last bit of incentive. And yet I would never try to surpass or replace the lovely bardic ladies' graces, with my own efforts, indeed we would not be competing but complementing each other.

As for the concentration, well, a high concentration helps in .. other, happy tasks. But that's a bit premature

I'll say the lass is correct however, a paladin? how boring is that. And a shady rogue? And risk getting arrested before the adventure begins? No, no, their so-called subtlety leaves a lot to be desired. I'd much rather be fascinated and mesmerized by bardic prowess, than conned by roguish guile, and I'm sure most feel this way. In fact, consider the implications of bringing such an individual along, why in the blink of an eye half the treasure would "mysteriously get lost"

Now, she's married to a bard, but that only proves she has experience conning fellow bards. I say beware her wily ways and choose instead to make this a fine tale of arcanes uniting in triumph, instead of a legendary tale of the rogue that robbed the bards!

Besides, I have no doubt some of you fine bardesses can convince the husband to 'go buy groceries' at the time of the raid...

This is awesome! See, I know the wiley rogue and his lovely bardic wife, so reading the response assuming reversed sexes caused a few belly laughs, to be sure!

As for the Pally, what do Bards love most of all? Entertainment. And NOT just providing it! Imagine the straight-laced Paladin in the group, always doing the right thing, ready to gather soulstones if needed, blocking and intimidating, huffing and puffing, always EVER so serious! Eleven bards could TOTALLY work with that! Why so serious Mr. Pally??? It would be a hoot, would make for a very fun tale, and he would just assume we were laughing WITH him...

    Heh..

As for the pali? No no no, everyone knows paladins have smite fun as a class ability, usable unlimited times per day. Besides, few paladins can unlock doors, something no self respecting sorcerer can't accomplish with a few hand gestures. And those that could, theoretically, would almost never do it, and would require hours of sermons and arguments until it was decided that it was the lawful and just way to do so. Ugh. And those pesky stubborn chasity belts? they'd never pick the lock on those! See, there's a reason sorcerers learn to unlock things...

Ditch the pali, run from the rogue, go with the sorcerer! =)
