While i appreciate your interest i'd be more inclined to give it to a friend if it were in fact the same value as a large scale which based on AH availability alone we can safely say that it is not.

FYI value is not subject to "AH availability." It's about demand, and what somebody is willing to pay for an item. Just because there are 10 Kardin's Eye's on the AH doesn't make them less valuable than say, boots of the innocent.

The item is only valuable because it is rare, it's not an uber item, it won't help you in combat, all it does is allow you to teleport one time per rest. It's a cool convienance item for any non-umd character. I loved having one on my cleric since it allowed me to get to House J for supplies really quickly. So the item is cool, but you're probably not going to get any real big offers for it, Magada's offer IMO is a fair one for that item.

I'd say the only way you're getting a large scale is if Magada takes his 250k plat, goes and buys one, and offers it to you.

Lmao, no one knows who you are mr. badger. as long as no one decides to check if there is a toon named mcbadger on argo your identity will remain safe! The helm is worth more than a scale to me, but the problem is, i dont have scales to trade, and if i did, they would be traded towards items i need. so dont let people confuse u with the difference between an items value, and one's willingness to pay full value for an item that is not at the top of their list. Bear in mind though, that that value is based on maximum demand, ie one who has no ability to cast the spell off a scroll or otherwise, but is an active alt.

p.s. teleport is important! my sorc knows it! why? because time is loot!

first, you could farm ghola-fan 10 times & not get one

that time wasted looking for one makes a found one valuable

second, while a large scale is valuable, you can run the shroud 10 times & definitely get enough larges & other stuff to easily get a large scale

also, the more shroud the closer to 20 or 40 completions, closer to great loot as end rewards

running ghola 20 to 40 times, just results in a hurt head

Inho that's a cool item. Keep it and use it, or trade it for something equally rare...don't turn it into plat...plat is worthless (or maybe that's just my opinion). I got my mask by trading a Bloodstone for it...and now my cleric loves it! There's an idea make a cleric, and you'll never regret keeping it!

My post was meant only to state that the relative NUMBER of an item that is available does not dictate its value, necessarily. It's really hard to find a Pearl of Sirines, but would you trade heavy for a UA swim +10 trinket?

BTW OP, you should keep it and give it to your non-UMD fighter or cleric. Just my 2 cp.

Also true. I've had many Masks along the way and still keep two for my toons because they save me plat and time. For those I've traded, I did not receive the value I believed they were worth because, again, value is subjective.

I also agree, the item is valuable, rare, and a pain in the arse to farm. I just traded away mine, and I know my cleric misses it dearly especially since I'm once again forced to use word of recall to get me to the market place quickly. It's definately way more rare than a large scale, but at the same time there is no way I'd trade a large scale for one since I'm way to close to my second mineral II khopesh.
