    Default question on Ranger/Monk

What does a ranger/monk lose when dual weilding something besides kamas?

IMO, a Ranger with a splash of monk should simply not worry about wielding kamas--rapiers are far more powerful, and the DPS advantage they get will outweigh the disadvantages in almost every situation.

If you are taking monk levels for more then the wis boost to AC then it would be good to weild kamas from the perspecive of gaining the centered abilities.

You still get the wis bonus regardless of what you wield as long as you have no armor or shield. IMO, the few mediocre centered abilities you may have will never make up for the lost DPS of the rapier.

Agreed. I have Air stance I just to get +1 ac and some alacrity bonus when using 2x vorp kamas, but thats it. (ranger 12/ 3 pal / 1mk).
