WotA 1 Bugged?

Any idea if the Way of the Assassin I poisons actually work? I have yet to see any kind of indication that they do anything... no "Save" floatie, no poison graphic, no description when examining monsters I've been wailing away on. Having said all that I really haven't used it very much at all, not nearly enough to definitively say it's not working for me.

your target gets a light blue + at their feet (like a heal icon) when it takes effect. honestly, as you get up in levels the only real thing you care about is the +20 to confirm crits in vorpal fests.
