Default Any LOSH fans on DDO?

    I'll give you a hint......it's a comic book reference.

Supposedly a popular one....but I've only met like 2 people in my whole life who knew what is was.
I gave up a life of farming to become an Adventurer.

Well, I'm going to assume you're referring to the Legion. I'll admit to liking the cartoon but haven't been into DC's stuff for years thanks to the influx of bad writers to their staff.

*edit - removed the TV writer thing so I could add Rucka and remove Dini to the group of bad writers.

Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

    That's what I run into...everyone is a Marvel fan.

Not sure why I always liked the DC chars better. The recent Crisis storyline has breathed some new life into my favorite LoSH chars.

My Monk is named Valkk Armorr. (Val was taken)

The cartoon was surprisingly good.......at least IMO. It blended several versions of them very well, and made them seem more like teenagers than the comics ever have. Plus seeing Tri-Jitsu in action was really cool.

IMHO - Marvel tends to be more "Beginner comics" friendly. They have less mass media clutter to confuse readers (ex. Compare how many versions of Batman and Superman the non-nerd public has to pick from vs. the versions of Iron Man, Hulk or Spider Man.)

I think most of the charm, for me, was that it was put together by the same team as "Teen Titans". And while they played around with stuff they really seemed to respect the source material.

Old Justice League was my second favorite comic.
I also liked the cartoon a lot. And my daughter really liked Hawkgirl. I think they failed to realise that her character was a hit with tweens. TV still doesn't know how to market the right stuff to the right audience......or what they have even. Still cancel shows that could be a big hit with a little tweaking.

But DC comics in general have always seemed to just not quite get it right in my opinion. Love their characters.....but they always seem to be a little short of my expectations for the stories......every now and then they get a good one though.

I was a big Marvel fan, until one day, I saw a cover JLA, with Beetle and Booster Gold sitting ing deck chairs, with a very, very upset Green haired lady (I don't remember her name!) kneeling between them serving drinks in a bikini, while off to the left two thieves were making off with some cash, and off the right, Batman and I think Martian Manhunter were barely restraining a man with a breifcase.

Made me wonder If I turned the cover, whould the green haired lady kill those too? I HAD to buy it. It was HILARIOUS!! Made me think that comic books had gotten too serious.

And seeing Guy Gardener (a Green Lantern) get punched out in ONE hit by Batman, is worth all the X-Men comic books in the world.

    G'Nort, anyone?

I didn't used to like Booster....until I found out where his powers came from. Now I consider him a distant cousin of my favorite comic.

Loved the recent 52 and countdown to Crisis stuff... (Mr. Mind is another favorite of mine)

DWF: Green haired lady is Fire. And you might want to pick up/DL off the internet/Beg/Borrow/Steal "Formerly Known as the Justice League" and "I can't believe it's not the Justice League" by Keith Giffen and JM Dematteis. Same creative team, same whacked sense of humor, new decade. I really hope there's a special place in hell reserved for Dan Dido.

Everyone: Saw THIS on the internet for all you comic nerds out there. When I initally saw the costumes I though "Oh c*@*!". But this trailer is making me want to pull out my TPB to do a play by play!

I was very upset about that.....but the story was good. Some of it didn't make sense, but it was still good.
I don't think he should've been able to acquire Val's powers..... and I don't think Jeckie should have been able to kill him like that.
I also think Val should have found some way to defeat him.

But it was a good story.

You should check out the recent Justice League "Lighting Saga" And "Countdown to Crisis" KK is in there....apparently in one unscriped continuality he comes back to life as his 70s-80s version.
fights Batman, who needs help to defeat him.....it's short, and Batman does better than he should. But you can exceuse it since KK is not really himself.
Batman checks Superman's computer data, and Superman lists KK as a lvl 15 fighter.......he has Batman listed as lvl 12. Black Lighting who helps batman take out KK later somments that he seems more like a lvl 25.

Nice homage to my all time favorite char.

Also shows Jeckies powers as pretty good too. And gives some credit to brainy's genius. Plus brings back Dawnstar (my other favorite......loved winged women )

    Haven't heard bout it.
    MK?

I saw something about a Champions MMO. thought that might be cool.
As much as it would be fun to play my favorite comic chars, it would be better to create our own. Can't have everyone playing Superman......etc. Just doesn't work.
