The price is really only in reference to the amount of time to pull the item for a collection vs anything else. Its faster to run the shroud twice then it is to run Fleshmakers for that item.
Its a collectors item only, unless the next mod allows decrafting.

I'm fairly certain decrafting will NOT allow you to deconstruct nor basically alter named items.

I am fairly sure it will allow me to deconstruct that Greensteel Mineral 2 Maul I made so I can use those ingredients on a Greensteel Great Axe.

You never know what direction the decrafting will go...it might be limiting an item to a prefix and sufix with a huge plat sink and rare items to craft....might be as you say for just green steel items... or it might use everyday weapons... I'm looking forward to real crafting not just this green steel stuff, although it is fun for a time...

And for the soup.... we have to find a cooking pot out in the wild first and hijack it.
