    Default Flesh golems and the like..

    hey all, so I was running around the Orchard with my lvl 13 Sorceror and ran into multiple flesh golems who chased me half accross the map! i was extremely unlucky taking them on solo and was unable to penetrate their spell resistance!!

    How the heck does a caster handle the stupid critters solo?? please explain. thanks

    It's called Disentegrate - level 6 spell Flesh golems can also be firewalled if you empower/Maximize but they just take longer to take down and you will waste more mana then just disentegrating them.

    Web also helps some in keeping them in place, sometimes.

    yeah, web was ALL that worked. and that only help me get away... lol

    does disintegrate get through their spell resistance? my Sorc has +19 to penetrate and I wasnt able to get through even once..

    Yep, disintegrate.

    And you don't have to worry about SR when using direct damage spells.

    Webs and disintegrate work well.

    Nah, stick w/ disintegrate. Pick up either flesh or mass suggest later on. Grab disintegrate now for stuff like this, where no other damage types work well.

    Fire based spells work on flesh golems, but they have 75% resistance to it (or 80%, I forget). They are immune to all other energy types (acid, sonic, cold, healed by electricity).

    I have often thought about dropping disintegrate for other lvl 6 spells since we sorcs get so few, but I just wind up using it far to often. It is the best damage spell when dealing with constructs, so comes in handy to often enough to keep in my spell selection IMO.

    Golems have unbeatable spell resistance. Disintegrate doesn't allow spell resistance, so it works fine.

    From pnp I seem to recall that lightning will damage them and then heal them 1/3 of the delt damage. When using a shocking burst weapon on them I will see all reds followed by a green number a few seconds later. Also electricity seems to have a haste affect on them.

    just suggest a group of dudes and let them fight the golems and move on.
    Flesh to stone great to keep, especially to take outthose wights out there.

    Disintigrate takes alot of mana...but fun too..up to you...

    I couldn't live without Flesh to Stone! It may actually be my favorite spell. <3 IMO, Mass Suggestion is a very situational spell. I think it's a fun spell, but unnecessary for most quests and will anger a party in a few quests. I'm sure many will disagree with me on this. Hell, I have a few guildies that live for this spell). I just think Mass Suggestion can wait until they raise the level cap again and we sorcs get more spell slots. Those lucky wizards!

    Mass suggestion is a great spell and I use it all the time but that being said, I will swap it out for Disintegrate just to try it!

    yeah okay so I tried disintegrate last night.. a nice spell (when they dont make their save!) but I doubt I'll be using it alot since I like the guarunteed dmg of scortching ray etc. and now I gotta wait 3 days to swap it out again... LOL **** wizzies!

    and now what about Devils? anyone have a favorite spell to use on Devils and Orthans?

    Devils seem to hate electric damage... I tend to Ball Lightning them.

    Web and disintegrate again. Or web, disintegrate and acid fog/cloudkill. Or web plus haste charmed mobs. Orthons and bearded devils have cr*p will saves, so I've also found charm monster to be working really well lately. I really like the idea of devils teleporting to do my bidding.

    Charm has to get past SR (my sorc has +20) but recently I haven't found that a problem for some reason. I can't entirely explain it as I used to have a lot of trouble with their SR.
