Im right now very curious about how a monk/rogue mix with thief acrobat would play out. Would the increased attack speeds stack? if so that could mean some very rapid two handed sneak attacks.
Thoughts anyone?

Yes but the monk part doesnt stack with haste. Its a great idea as far as a dex rog/monk with insane ac and 8 uses of uncanny dodge is concerned though. 1monk/15rog for the awesome sneak dps. Just the q-staff is not finesse![]()
Already working on (and so far, am pretty happy with) my Monk/Rogue - no way of the Acrobat for me though. I'm 14th and grinding my way to capped... when the real fun begins.

I'm at 5 rogue 3 monk at this time with this build. Rogue skill haste does stack with air stance. I'm enjoying the build but I havent' figured it out past 10th level yet-- for awhile I was thinking going for rogue 12 (acrobat2) the rest monk but that's changed because there is no way the character should be played as what is expected for rogue. Obviously you can only be so good at disable and search (which is where I'm puting my Monk skill points at + concentration). You also need a lot of strength and a focus on quarterstaff feats... two-handed weapon feat does give you pluses and once you get your third attack you also get the multiple mob hits. I went hafling and am puting a lot of enhancements in the flanking bonuses to counteract some of the to-hit minues. I'm holding my own in kills at this early level against melee types of similar level. If quarterstaff was a finessable weapon I think this this discussion would be totally different.
Overall, I'm liking the build but its obviously going to be gimped. If you have problems with broke characters then this won't be the build for you.

Chongman (WF Monk) -- strength build
Anttree (Pal/Monk/ Sorc) -- Out drinks Beholders
Moltus (fighter)-- Vorpals are for rogues.
I'm building a similar character but going Dwarf instead of Halfling. Finishing 13 Rogue / 3 Monk, slightly modified from Impaqt's Kung-Fu Rogue.
I'm going Dwarf because of the Dwarven Tactics Enhancements and HP. He's strength based with a 16 starting STR; levels up into strength. He uses Trip, Stunning Blow, and Sunder. I'll probably take Power Attack and maybe Cleave / Great Cleave. I would like to take Improved Trip but it requires Combat Expertise. This build is not an AC build and CE would be a waste of a feat. He's using Impact, Weighted, and Shattering Quarterstaves.
So far he's 3 Rogue / 1 Monk and it's working out fine. If this character starts to get lame I'll post and let people know but for now I'll keep at it. Peace!
