Default What is this spell supose to do?

How is the cleric spell, "find traps" suppose to work? It doesn't seem to do anything when I tried to use it in stk the other day. (only had a partial rogue in party)
I am fairly new to the cleric role, so I wasn't sure if I wasn't doing something right for this to work... or if it is bugged and I need to report it. Wasn't sure so I come here to ask. Is it working or not, and what exactly does it do?

it adds 1/2 cleric level to your search skill.

unless you're already putting points into search, it's not going to help you find anything.
it does, however, work exceedingly well for cleric/rogues.

hm.. well that is rather miss leading. I thought it would act like detect secret doors does and find the trap right off. bleagh, oh well, I know not to bother with it anymore.

It's another of the spells that really annoys me because it is almost useless for a Cleric.
Even a cleric who is built to use it would be inferior to a pure rogue IMO. But for the average cleric it will not allow you to find anything in DDO.

it's most valuable to a rogue to UMD off a scroll.....but even then it's use is minor at best.

Another case of following PnP without any adjustment for DDO inflation.
