Still havent figured out why its doing that so I just try not to multitask while playing no more its easier on my eyes lol. Still throws my color scheme off for some reason it goes from Aero to Basic and basic is ultra bright.

It works fine in Vista as long as you don't have RealTek HD Audio hardware. Oh, wait, that's almost every new laptop by HP and Dell...

Bingo that is probably my issue my dell laptop that I brought a few months ago has that on it. My new desktop doesnt have those items on there and I dont think it does the color problem got to test it tonight to make sure I like the laptop better because of the mobility I just cant multitask on it playing ddo like I can with the desktop not without the blare on my eyes.

get off the bandwagon. just because someone heard form someone who heard form someone who says they dont like does not mean you should also not like it because you refuse to except change. No one ever says why they dont like it. You tell me why you dont like it and ill tell you how you can change that.

    VISTA ROCKS MY SOCKX OFF!
Its on my wifes computer and I just dont like it but that could be just because I am not use to it but I wont give up my xp on my machine until I have to. I can see in no way how its better on my fps games it slows me down and on my wifes computer it takes her off the internet all the time.

I had an Athlon 3500 processor and 2 gigs memory and a BFG geforce 8800 gts OC

Vista i would be lucky to get 30 fps in ddo average
Window Xp i would average over 150 FPS

    Now, I have

    E8500 45nm processor oc to 3.6 ghz
2 gigs of mushkin memory oc to 1100 mhz
evga GTX 260 oc to 692 mhz and memeory at 1269 mhz

Vista32 I get an average of 170 FPS and sometimes see excess of 350fps(all setting maxed out)

Vista is more system demanding, then XP. If your system is not a newer system, then forget running Vista.

I hated vista on my Athlon, I still dont like it, but is not as bad as it was on my earlier system.

    Default Vista

I run it on vista just fine, both in 32bit and 64bit. The latest version of vista is fine. I usually wait a year or so from when an OS comes out. They always need to debug and other people need to update.

    Another thing you can try..

Right click the DDO icon on your desktop,
    Select the Compatibility tab.
Set it to Windows XP SP2.

that seems to help as well sometimes. Especially if you dont have the latest dl of ddo installed. Patches only go so far in my opinion.
