    Default The Tricky Trickster

So my wife, Gina BoBina asked me to make a character named and sort of like her. She's 4'11 and takes a lot of mixed martial arts classes, is great at dancing and loves to take stuff apart. Well, husbands have to do what husbands have to do, and this is my first attempt. I kind of like what I have here, which is a little surprising, as its a first attempt with no revisions at all as of yet. I'd like your rogue experts to tell me what you think of the viability of this character end-game and what you think of it in general. Please be kind, I rarely make rogue, never made a character with ANY monk levels before.

Specific questions: With stat-damaging weapons, am I going to be hitting often enough to be worthwhile?
Would you like to party with such a character?

Potential AC: (NOTE: I am NOT an expert on AC)
Also I only consider beholder armor class

    10 base
    1 halfling
    +6 armor bracers
    11 dexterity (+6 dex item)
    1 dodge
    5 ce
6 wisdom bonus (+6 wis item)

    40 AC at this point
2 ring of balance from invaders (natural)
    4 protection item (deflection)
    2 chaosguarde (stacking dodge)

for 48 ac, at least its ALWAYS there, not like a if I get the pally and barkskin type deal. For practical purposes often it would be higher, as I could pull better loot, get better bracers and, well as you can tell I like being conservative in my builds = atypical.

Thanks, all for your time and consideration.

It looks like a good balance to me from a quick glance. If they change the monk ac wisdom bonus to not work when uncentered she can always swap out IC pierce for Slash and use kamas to regain it. I did notice however you have both ac6 bracers and Chaosguards figured in your end ac, of course you cant wear them at the same time.

    It's a classic build.
A little low on HP, so i'd drop the weapon focus for a toughness feat. Maybe dodge for a second one.
Remember, rogues are awesome for DPS and skill and ac. Their one big weakness is total HP.

You may have already read it but I'm playing around with Impaqt's Kung-Fu Rogue concept:

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=151201

I've changed around a few things looking forward to fit my playstyle. I started as a Human with a 18 STR (17 STR +1 Tome), 14 DEX (13 +1 TOme), and a 16 INT (15 +1 Tome); 10 CON, 12 WIS, 8 CHA or so (don't have character in front of me). The synergies with centered Monk using a Quarterstaff and Way of the Thief-Acrobat I & II match up very well. Level 16 will be 13 Rogue / 3 Monk.

I liked the ideas of using de-buffing attacks. I haven't gotten cleave or great cleave as I believe the extra aggro will not benefit a low HP Rogue. I'm also not too concerned with AC on this Rogue; I've been tumbling out of the way of attacking mobs for years now and that works fine. I think it's more of a concept idea that works out really cool than an elitist build.

    Peace!
