Default a thank you to plex

would like to thank plex for trading me a chattering ring. thought it was a fair swap the ring and a couple ingreds for a full set of shield frags. though he could have taken it, ( and he was on his barb not a sorc where it would be useless) he took the time to work out a deal. i think this was a great showing of teamwork in a pug group where everyone worked towards the goal. thanx bro. btw that was my 47th titan run on handee for that ring so im happy to finally be willing to do it on a different toon.

also i am buying any large ingredients besides horns:
    scales- 125k plat, stones- 100 k plat, arrows, chain, shrap- 75 k plat, bones 50 k plat

theses prices are lower than screwing around with the ah and getting less anyway because of ah fees. if u have some and want plat let me know. also buying major mana pots for 5 k plat each

    Good for you

I knew something fishy was going on.

On a side note Opall, I have seen it before where members of your guild take raid loot items they have absolutely no use for (zephyr cloak on a caster ? come on.). I strongly believe it is your responsibility as a guild leader to educate your guildmates on what a given item actually does to benefit or not a given build.

    Nice run btw Handee.

I personally detest trading for raid items. Keep it for yourself or toss it up for roll.

Well, I am not sure who you are speaking of, not even sure the stats on that cloak. If it is the one that gives blur...and I could be wrong....but If it is, then that was not a caster that was a rogue that took that.
So If I am right, then you should educate yourself on the facts before posting on a public forum.

    Thank You

I usually wait until all the raid loot in a given instance is taken before I move on to the next quest because I like seeing whether someone could actually use it ended up with the item. My post is just a simple common sense recommendation. I dont think I need to educate myself more on the "facts" of ddo or of how a given item will benefit a certain class. If you don´t like it, then that is too bad and I cannot do anything about that

    Default meh

Aleckx some guilds are just like that ya know. poor leadership contributes, but greedy players tend to flock together. i just avoid these players like the plague. and in the defense of some of these guilds i think honestly that sometimes its not the guild leader fault because in some cases the guild leader is the noobiest noob of the noob guild lol.

Congrats on the ring heffty, I just put one of those rings up for roll on Thelanis. I was on my caster rogue and **** did I **** off a wizard that was trying to buy it from me with ingrediants. Wierd situation, been playing along time and I froze up when the ring popped.............took me a min to fight off the gready side...a long min and just let anyone that wanted to roll (including the wiz) roll for it. I will say I was a bit annoyed that once traded to the winning roller a couple people then tried to buy it from him. Kind of hoped the rollers would be people that wanted it and not be willing to sell it off there after. The winning monk was terrific though and not only ignored offers to buy it, but took the item and made an effort to send me a nice list of ingrediants anyway (that my gready side mouthed off before common sence took over.) Im now so stuck in reaver loot distribution, I want to stay that way.

i cant stand the selling of loot either. everyone is going to have their own opinion, and with this particular subject, everyone seems to think their opinion is fact. i come from other mmo's where all the loot is rolled together in one single lot, and then the grp decides how to distribute it. i like that because a chattering ring wont start under a sorcs name, making him think he earned it more than the monk. everyone helped get to the warded chest (well... everyone at least showed up) if the item appears under your name you just got lucky. put it up for a roll. also the way loot is rolled in ddo makes a dkp system almost impossible, cuz why would a barb give up a sos he needs to another barb in his guild w more dkp, unless he really believes in the system (and/or doesnt want to get booted from his guild). also, even guild runs tend to be part-pug in this game anyway, so i would actually have to join one of the guild i roll with to ever get raid loot.

i dont know what to say. i hate greedy people. i hate uneducatable people... i hate pugs.

throwing it up for a roll is only good if everyone wants it equally. reaver boots, dreamsplitter, whatever.

if everyone doesn't want it equally one of the ways is to show it is with cash. I have paid for +3 tomes before in reaver chests and probably will do so again. same deal with trading.

this may be a game but if I want it more than you, I'm darn well gonna throw more at an item than just time.

    Default was this needed?

once again i wasnt talking about anyone in particular. if someone should feel that i described them and their guild than A) thats too bad and B) if the shoe fits wear it dont hate others for how the truth may be.

and for the record i would like to say that i hate the raid loot system we have now and that the old guaranteed 2 peices that the party leader would have peeps roll on was way better than this new system.

I miss the old system where you were GUARANTEED to have loot and if you were rolling with a reliable leader you were also guaranteed a fair distribution of the loot. I have lost count of how many DQ´s and Titans elite I have done and not seen a single item drop.

Well since Im already on the dark side, this seems to imply I should benifit from one of its catylists, greed. I will have to think more on this.

My two cents just to get the derailed thread back onto the wrong track if not the right one.

First cent, grats on the ring Hef.

Second cent, if you can use it, you should take it so that the next time you can definitely give it away. If you can't use it then it would be nice to have a roll-off. Personally though if I hear of a trade about to happen for an item after a roll-off I'll just take the item and destroy it or sell it. I don't like people rolling on items just so they can sell it to someone else in the group. I also never pay attention to those people when they try to roll on items in the future.
