Huh? Larges on phase 3? Caring about puzzle solving on a speed run? In general, if one doesn't know what they are talking about it's typically best not to critique those that do.

Get over your world wide self. Read my whole post I said larges/loot. I'm sorry I have to clarify, that meant the whole run. :P We didnt not solve the puzzles because we didnt see it as such a big time waster. We were doing them casually before you guys stepped in and took such an interest. Not much to do in game so we will see if we can beat your 16 min run. Grats again but please leave your silly uberness at the door. In general, I give a d*** about someone who thinks he knows what hes talking about, typically its best for children to stay silent.

Well, on all our "speed runs" every puzzle was completed every run....not saying that makes up the difference in time, just saying that if you're gonna be aggressively pushing the time and you don't even complete all the puzzles, don't tell anybody that they don't know what they are talking about.

The first speed runs of the Shroud occurred on my server, among my circle of friends. I suppose the standard of beating the puzzles had been previously commonly accepted...

So you did a speed run and weren't smart enough to figure out how to save a bit of time by not doing extra work to get bonus chests. Big deal. I'm surprised you would sink to stating your oversight instead is really an unspoken "standard" for counting the run as legit. That's soft.

of course we didn't loot, or buff, and shrines were only used when necessary, and on the run.

i never said it invalidated your run, i offer you kudos on it!

just saying next time, do all the puzzles. you're running the shroud for loot after all...and it's not like it takes much time at all. 1 minute tops even for a 5x5 if you're prepared.

all the nonsense aside, try and keep the attacks out of my thread. this thread has always been intended to promote friendly rivalry and competition, but it is not a forum for trash-talking or demeaning each other (this meant for both sides of the discussion).

I hardly see what's wrong with discussing what steps are skipped and what are not in judging the performance of a speed run.

This is a classic case of projection here, you are actually playing by your OWN rules, as completion of the puzzles was a previous standard.

I am not here to quibble over whether you guys went faster, because that much is obvious, but there's nothing wrong with establishing a standard of expectations.
