    Default Narsatch Bounty Bag -- Waterworks

    I posted this in another thread in the General Discussion because I'm blind (and couldn't find this thread. I kept looking for Bug Hunters Anyway, on multiple characters, on multiple servers, I've occassionally picked up a bounty bag from the bounty board in Waterworks for "Narsatch", a kobold "wandering the Waterworks". I have never, ever been able to find Narsatch. I usually end up dumping the bag, which means I can't ever get another Waterworks bounty because that board is still broken. I've identified the following named mobs in Watersworks:
    Part 1 -- Head Guard Graskitch, Witch Doctor Karnatch, Misery and Spite.
    Part 2 -- Chef Kraskuth, Bloodletter, and Warden Arkik.
    Part 3 -- Ryssal, Witch Doctor Squagh, Krung the Brutal, Witch Doctor Krankos, and Hobgoblin Emissary.
    Part 4 -- Haarg, Kruts and Murat. The Tunnelworm Grand Shamon and Tunnelworm Interrogator also have chests but no unique names.

    It's driving me crazy that I can't find this bad-boy. Can you tell me if he exists, and if so, a hint at least to where the heck he is??

    Yup, I missed it. You reported several mail bugs back to back and one didn't sink in. What do you think about disabling the report button? If the big fix is complex perhaps you can at least stop harm with something quick.

    This is more of an annoyance than anything. When adding members to your party, whether through the text in chat, or in the party interface, they will sometimes be added, but not added. That is, you will receive the party message that you have accepted their request to join, but then they will not join. This can be quickly remedied by simply re inviting them to the group, but as I said, it is kind of annoying to have to do so.

    I looked over the known issues and quickly perused this thread and didn't see anything about it. Of course this doesn't mean that I didn't miss mention of it; if I did, I apologize.

    I think this is usually caused because the person CLicked "Join" and then proceeded through a Teleporter while waiting for you to hit Accept.

    Happens to me every once in a while, I'll see a group, hit joine then I'll start on my way to the quest area, Often after the teleport is done, I'll see a message to the efect of "Cant Create or join a party while telporting" I jsut hit join again or the leader sends an invite at that point...

    Yeah, I've had that happen to me when attempting to join a group as well, but it didn't even cross my mind that it could be the reason for my gripe.

    Exclamation Collectable Bags and Gold Festivault Coins

    So Last night I was running around and looting Festivault Coins. I collected a few Silver, a tone of Copper and a single Gold Coin.

    I noticed that they weere going into my regular inventory slots and not my collectable bag like they should, but then realized that my bag was full, so I removed 3 collectables out of the bag to make room for these very important collectable items.

    Now here is the problem and bug: The Silverand Copper coins went into my Collectable Bag just fine, but the Gold coin would not go into the bag at all. Now I went and double checked that I had more room in the bag by removing another collectable and tried putting the Gold coin into the bag again. I did this both times by trying two methods, 1) dragging the Gold Coin into the bag manually and 2) by selecting the Gold Coin in my Backpack and trying to click on the Arrow in the Open Colelctable Bag. Neither worked and I could not put my Gold coin into my Bag.

    And just for the sake of completeness, this was a small collectable bag. My character did not have a medium let alone a large bag to test those.

    Are you sure it wasn't a Planar Shard you tried to drag into the bag instead of a Gold Coin. Both have the same exact look, only the name is different.

    Here's an emote bug for ya... When you add custom text to an animated emote, it will "save" and re-use that text for every animated emote you do...UNLESS you have somebody targeted, which would add a different set of custom text.

    type an emote like: "/e blah's you!" - "Kromize blah's you!" and your fine...
    type one like: "/sit sits down on your face!" - "Kromize sits down on your face!"
    and when you type another animated emote, guess what you get? "/angry" - "Kromize sits down on your face!" But if you had somebody targeted, it would act normally.

    Yes, it does that, really. And when you like to type bizarre emotes like that, it can get annoying.

    Lorikk's champion:

    When mod7 was released, both Levik's Defender and Lorikk's Champion were shown as material: mithral with none of the benefits. the 7.1 update added the mithral feature to the Levik's Defender. However, no change was made to Lorikk's Champion, even though it would be both logical and beneficial to one class (bard) for it to be mithral for the -10% to arcane failure chance.

    Is this just an oversight that hasn't been brought up (few bards are specced for healing and fewer healing bards have the Lorikk's set) or intentional?

    Wow, I think I just realized that I may have missed the cookies and coins for this year, in my absence I've not even thought about the festival coming around again, whoops. So, well, I have a question if I still have some coins for the previous festival, what happens now? I never heard if they allowed for an redemption during the year.
    Am I going to glitch DDO with my old coins, and is there still a chance to redeem them? I don't want to corrupt my toons with old db info. What can I do? I worked very hard on those coins, then put much time into learning the auction system to buy and trade for the rewards, for solo play. It's still tough to me for the stars to align for good team-mates, I'd rather try to play than fool around with folks and waste precious time.
    Just concerned.

    P.S. Is the Festival still going on, are there Jesters in game now?
    And I am thrilled about the new hirelings, just updated the other day, and probably will take a shot at a couple hours of gameplay today.

    Coins never become obsolete, they just aren't very useful when the Jester isn't around. If you miss the Jester this year and still have coins from any year, you can just save them for the next Festivult. The Jester will take them in trade then just as he does now. The gifts he gives you in return may change however as we like to tweak the loot list a little every year.

    Default keymapping single attack function

    Normally the single attack function is mapped to the left mouse button, which is also used for selecting items on the window overlays like hotbars, examination orb, etc. So it makes sense that when you press the left mouse button while over an overlay like an icon on the hotbar the system performs a check on mouse position before deciding whether to click on the icon or swing your weapon (attacking is disabled if cursor is over an overlay window). However, if you keymap the single attack function to another key (I use the trigger on a joystick) attacking is still disabled if the cursor is over an overlay, even though the newly mapped button cannot be used to select the icon on the hotbar. In other words, as long as your cursor is over any of the overlaying windows, you cannot attack. When single attack is mapped to another key, a check on cursor position is no longer neccessary when that key is pressed, can they take the cursor position check routine out of the portion of the code mapped to the new key? I don't know how many times I've tried to swing my weapon several times before I realized the mouse cursor was over a hot bar or any of the many window overlays.

    Since the Patch Ice wands in Abbot misfire a lot more. For example shooting straight ahead despite party member being at other tip of island and the wielder had targeted properly. Ice sometimes also appears half submerged sometimes.

    hear hear hear; one of my toons has no issues, but another routinely shoots the iceball straight ahead no matter how his mouse is targetted, and does so quite randomly; having the mouse targetted at the water a few spaces ahead will work for 5-6 islands, and then stop doing so. That toon is a dwarven cleric; my paladin has completed the ice puzzle a half-dozen times and never had that kind of misfire.

    It's possible that this won't matter soon with Eladrin and team reworking the Abbot raid. Hopefully we will have more details soon.

    Ran this after the patch and noticed the AI on some of the skeleton archers has changed.
    The archers on the 1st floor you have to kill to make the floor fall out appear to have got the same AI as the Hobgoblin archers from quests like: The Caverns of Shaagh (lvl4 part 2 of STK in the Steam tunnels)
    This is very annoying as they run very fast and you have to kill them to progress the quest, as soon as you move to melee them they run away. Only 1 or 2 of the skeletons in the room did this the rest semed to have the standard AI of jump back occasionally and keep shooting.

    Anyone else notice this?

    Did have a hireling in the group at the time was summoned while fighting these skeletons think they had already started acting wierd.

    S-i-l-the, my apologies.
    It just so happens, I found out just moments after posting. I had alot left over...=) I had begged, borrowed, and sold to by 'em last year. I had 23 golds even(Turned in half, I think). I saw the new cookies, and etc. And the new 'grenades'. The new quivers have opened up a new game for me. I spent many and agonizing minute considering what weapon, armor I would have to give up to keep that 20 arrow stack of Dragon Slayers, or what ever. I have filled at least 6 quivers, at least four wides,and 4-5 thins, with just my arrows, that doesn't include the bolt collection. Now, if we just convince you to devise spellbooks. I would submit this request, one I have always wanted, and have not thought about for awhile. Is a complete list of known spells, I have inscribed spells that I can't see, so, I can't tell which scrolls to keep. I have probably 3 pages of scrolls to sift through. And I could hols probably 4 more wide quivers for bolts.
    My only attempt with a hireling was a wash, the 5th level dwarf cleric cured himself once before falling to Archbishop Dreyden.
    The new bracers are intresting, as is the NPE(new Player Experience). The old generator I think was more asthecticlly(sp?) pleasing, I guess this one is more conspicuious.

    I collect them, so that in case one day this gets fixed, but is there any info on the buggy way that the collecting sub-quests in the Shroud work? I think that I have like 25 healing totems, and only 6 seem to count. Why can I never pick up the Orthon armor shards?

    This was brought up on DDO Cast, and it got be thinking to ask.

    Most positive it wasn't and in fact I think it had something to do with the Gold Coin being locked in my inventory. sorry I didn't see you r replay sooner.

    Well the term "Waterworks" technically refers to the explorer area, so my guess would be that he is one of the two named Rare Kobolds in the explorer area. I'm at work, so I cannot log into the game to check on who is who. but the first named Kobold spawns in the side tunnel where you cross the big bridge on your way to Guard Tember for WW parts 1 and 2. You have to jump in the water adn swim to the bottom left to find the tunnel entrance. The other Kobold spawns behind a secret door in the corner of the hallway that Guard Tember is located in.

    People refer to the to quest Chain as Waterworks, even though it is not the actual name for the quest chain.
