Arcane Failure

I came back to DDO last week to try out monks, but ended up getting drawn back to my old WF fi/wiz and making a new rog/wiz. On both of these characters I am not getting arcane failure rolls like I used to.

My fighter has Admantine body (and shield), and can cast his 1st level spells eveytime. My rogue/ wiz and I have played him to 4th level now, with 0 failures, or apparently any arcane failure checks. I haven't checked how shields affect him though.

Was something changed while I was gone to elliminate the arcane failure check, or hide it somehow on WF?

Items I pick up still show arcane failure percentages.
