    Default Black Widow Bracers Trouble

Okay, I've run WW 10 times now. I've mastered it: I can go start to finish - all four quests - in 20 minutes at level 4. I've become this pointlessly good because I wanted the Black Widow Bracers. However, after having run WW 10 times, they've never been offered. Am I doing something wrong or is this just incredibly bad luck? Does the drop have anything to do with the two possible named black widows both appearing? I've killed them both, but they've never both spawned. This has gone far beyond frustrating.

Update: 14 times now, and still nothing. Argh argh argh argh argh.

Nope nothing wrong, I'm having the same problem with Tangleroot and the Crimson Gemstone on my Sorc. It's a little more difficult than Waterworks to solo ¬.¬

12 runs and counting with no crimson gemstone. Just keep trying it can only hold out for so long!

Are you a monk? Try un-ticking the "end reward based on class" box. Hell, try un-ticking it whatever class you are. Might do the trick.

As a rule, semi-static end rewards are determined in an inverse relationship to the utility provided multiplied by the players desire. So, if the particular item is truly useful and desired you are likely never going to be offered that particular item.

I ran it 3 times...normal, hard, elite. No bracers for me either. I will not go back in there. Mage Armor pots/clickies give the same +4 armor bonus, last 6 minutes, and are incredibly cheap. When you get House P buffs, you can get a 30 minute Mage Armor buff cast on you. Besides, then you are free to use your bracer slot for something else.

    Default took me

four runs for the monk or his first elite run (and last time doing WW then.)

You want to talk maddening waits?

I decided once that I wanted to get Muckbane without a trade or hand me down.

It took that character 65+ attempts to get it. God how I stayed away from Durk's a long time after that.

And my monk, pulls that club his THIRD run. Now It's just better if I unarm the slimes and it it takes time to kill, more Ki for me.

(I think the arcane slimesa are the most jealous of this )

And as for the BWB, I still have them. Believe it or not, +5 or higher bracers are quite rare and/or expensive. Mabye not as bad as Wis V or higher, but up there.

And my monk is somewhere in the middle between broke and millions of gold. Definately less than 6 figures after his last level availability purchases. At least his luck is average. He too got a Mage Armor item until those bracers.

Be careful what you wish for, what you say is best; for sometimes what you seek is found, not at the end of the quest.

Perhaps it would be bad to mention my monk
got her Black Widow Bracers on her first try!

    Sorry about your bad luck,
I have had the same problem before with Muckbane.

Lost count of how many times I ran Durks!

sometimes those end rewards can be... Frustrating.

I actually got them on my first run through (on normal). Almost missed picking them too, would have been ****ed.

I have these on my wizard and am considering transferring them across to my monk, although I get by with the starter robe and the odd potion to keep mage armour up. It's an item that seems more like a convenience rather than a necessity.

I got mine very first run on my monk...of course it was on Sarlona not Argo.

What is the big deal with these anyways....Mage armor potions are extremely cheap and give the same exact benefit.

Toggling this off does not increase your chance at the bracers. Quests with semi static loot like WW, CO6 and others don't draw upon the class to determine end rewards.

Talking My first monk. And my second one.

My first monk pulled it the first time, my 2nd monk, the 24th time... And to the op, after the 15th-16th run, you'll be able to do the whole WW chain in about 13-14 minutes, including the running time between part 2 and 3. Last time i did it, if we add the minutes i got out of each part, i did it in 9 minutes + about 1-2 minutes of running, shrining. I was really frustrated, but since my monk was all about AC, and i didnt want to buy 1 minute mage armor pots, i had to get them.....took me alot of runs tho.
