    Default Tome collection

hey guys, I'm curious as to the value of a full set of +1 tomes, or a total collection of 10. I know you can get tomes for 250-300k gold on AH, sometimes snagging off cheaper ones (like I do) Do they general fetch a higher price as a completed set?

Do people often trade +2 tomes for ingredients? Going rate, if they do?

    Thanks all

As a follow up...are +1s "back in style" if the end goal is a +3, so then you plan on keeping even # based on a +1 tome, or a +2 and then have a hanger-on that you can tone down the final enhancement (if you attained your number that way) or...basically planning it out for +2s? (or mix/match if planning on using one specific thing for favor) Thanks again

imo +1 tomes are virtually worthless...as they are common and regularly sell for 50k plat or under.
a full set of them adds no value that I see.

People trade all sorts of things for +2 tomes.
I would value a +2 tome at two maybe three large ingredients depending on what they are.
(bones are worthless, ... scales stones and arrowheads are worth more)

Value is relative to the individual. Some people want a full set of +1 tomes for their newly built monk (or other build). Some people think they're a waste of pack space. I recently discovered that 2 +1 tomes that I had tucked away in the bank were worth more to another individual than they were to me... and we both came away from the deal happy with the trade we made. You never know.

+1 tomes are still in demand for those making new characters.
+2 tomes are nice and all... But they're pretty dang expensive to throw on a character you're still tweaking and may very well reroll in a day or two.

That said, someone wanting a whole set of tomes... is likely finished tweaking their character. In which case they'd probably rather have the +2... So, if having a full set increases the value of +1 tomes, I'd have to say it would likely be a very minimal increase, depending on the individual of course.

Why am I a disgruntled vet? I could care less about nerfs, if the rest of the update worked.
I hate epic, GSF !="generalist wizard", and my raid loot luck still *'in sucks.

Would you, if you were going to re-roll say a couple of characters have them start on the odd, or the even? You'll have a 1-2 racial stat and a 1-3 class stat right? Possibly +9 from a +6 item and 3 exceptional from the shroud...so if you kept everything even, and planned for +2 tomes....that works I guess for like your main class stat. We'll use...Dwarven Paladins here as an example.

    14 Con +2 tome +6 item, +2 enhancements = 24 (I guess if you pull a +3 tome you then decide to make a +3 shroud weapon?)
14 Charisma +2 tome, +6 item, + 3 enhancements = 25 so off the bat you either reduce the enhancements and pick up the action points to use elsewhere, commit to the shroud item right off...OR do you start with a +1 tome and then if you ever get the max +3, then fill up to an even?

End game is suppose to have maximum +6s?

Thanks for your input, I'm on the very edge of rolling 3 characters.
