Eventually, maybe. I enjoyed the first two, but not to any fanatical degree. I'll wait for the price to drop a few times, and then if I have the time perhaps I'll pick it up.

Yeah will prob try it as I give everything a shot. I've all but given up on a non DnD based game replacing DDO though.

Diablo had been one of my favorite games, and a game I played for quite some time. I will try it for sure.

You do realize that this is the DDO general discussion forum....this thread is in the wrong place, completely.

But anyways...H___ Yeah I'm gonna play it, I still play D1 and D2 from time to time. It looks so bad-a__! Love it, been waitin for the annoucnement for years...

I so called it. Someone asked me about Diablo III. I said, "Blizzard will probably announce it within the month. Feels around the right time, what with Warhammer and Age of Conan getting attention and stuff." And bam, there it is. :3

I never played a Diablo to be honest. Not the first one, or the second and it's expansion. . . But, of the gameplay I've seen, it reminds me of Dungeon Siege I and II, both of which I enjoyed immensely. If I can get my hands on the Diablo Battle Chest, I'll play those first. If I enjoy the series, I'll grab the third. Otherwise, I'll pass.

It's worth a shot. Diablo 2 is a fairly unique game in that it's played from start to finish, then you start over on a harder difficulty level which has the same monsters, but they are massively pumped up (think the difference between a Waterworks ogre and an ogre at endgame). Sounds weird but it works.

    Default Im there!

D3 and SC2 are 2 of the very few games I will buy/have bought on release. I loved D1&2. I still pull them out every now and then....just to do something other than DDO(usually when no ones on late at night) And who can deny SC.

That's very similar, at the least, the Dungeon Siege II. You'd play through the main game, get to about level 30, then start over with stronger monsters. If it's really like that, I think I'd enjoy it.

I hear online, though, is filled with hackers and dupers. . . Is that true? If so, I'll stay away from that portion of the game. I don't want to have the whole experience ruined. . . Plus, I'm more of a story person anyway. Heheh.

Remember the first time I got online in diablo. I was all pumped up to be seeing other people, and this dude comes up to me after I had cleared first level, and just zapps me and takes all my stuff. I was like "What the flock just happened" Still makes me smile. And yes, i will be playing, just sucks but it will probably be a long time untill it's out.

I loved Diablo 2, but it consumed so many hours of my life I just can't imagine doing that again. I finished the Hell level on single player with a frost-based paladin, but it took essentially the best everything in the game to do it--and I mean that, literally the very best items available in the game, period. And I never got into multiplayer the way I did with Starcraft and DDO.

Starcraft 2 tho, I am there. Starcraft is great because it has no grinding, every game starts fresh. So you can play as much or as little as you want.

Will definitely give this one a go, not as a replacement, but a supplement.

The "open" area, the place where you can bring yoru single player characters to play in d2 is full of hacks and what not. but for the most part, the multiplayer area, played over battlenet, while there has been some duping on d2, its is usually handled pretty quickly and corrected. I expect that they will increase security in this area after 8 year of having to deal with it.

    Meh.

I liked Diablo I, but didn't care for Diablo II. I doubt I'll even pick up Diablo III.
