Default Dragon Armor- change repair to any vendor and remove the extra expense

I did the grind to collect the relics to open Tor.

I ran Gianthold Tor some 70-80 times for scales.

I finally accumulated enough to purchase Dragon Armor, which has decent stats but is not even close to as powerful as the new raid armor from VoD. (I am a fighter, so I obviously mean the full plate)

For Dragon Armor, why do repairs cost at least twice as much as any other armor? Why can you only get them repaired at one specific vendor in Merida?

It is not as if this armor is game breaking plus we EARNED it. Why are we then continually punished for wearing it?

Make Dragon Armor repairable from any vendor and eliminate the extra cost. I'm not sure why this was ever implemented but it is terrible game design and renders the grind to get scales completely worthless.

On a side note: Yeah, it's better than before because you don't have to repair it with relics, but I still think this armor has a big enough downside (plenty of grind and collecting) that the the repair cost and inconvienience of a single repair vendor make it a worthless grind.

To the Devs: Change this and make our grind for scales worth it.

For me, the fact that it's bound is the most discouraging of all.

Collection loot that is pretty darn tough to acquire should be unbound, i don't like that we're punished for making it. Currently only the orchard shields work correctly in that respect, you can make them and pass them around when they stop being useful to your character.

    Agreed on both counts.

It shouldn't be such a pain to maintain. It should have a hardness of about 50 since it is made with dragon scales afterall..

The collecting of those things (scales) should be the end of the journey for the armor not the beginning.

Actually, it would be more fair to either one of your suggestions. I have Black platemail on my main and my sorcerer has the dreaded Blue Robe of Always Brokenness. While we did earn them, however, they are a speciality armour, dresigned for the individual. Now that can justify the high price and lack of repairers. But now, everyineone has them, so any good businessman in Stormreach (we won't mention the bartenders, devs, will we?) would see ifthey could get people to repair that armour.

Suggestions: House K, you buy armour there, have the armour brokers repair it. Keep Meridia and gianthold. House Deneith would be the other location, in the armour shoppe there. As for the price, you cannot undercut Gianthold prices, and Meridia feeds on the obviously rich adventurers. So, in the middle price range, cheaper than Meridia but more expensive than normal armour.

Also, as an incentive, allow the repairers accept relics ala Gianthold to lower the prices. Not Gianthold prices, but lowering to normal armour repair for all outlying repair sites.

    IMO

I don't think raid items should be allowed to be passed around. The way I see it is that your character went through thick and thin to get the item and was awarded the great honor of receiving such item. It's like a trophy as much as it is a piece of equipment. I think raid items should stay with the raiders.

For the non raiders, I would like to see craftable items that use collectables dropped in non raid quests or explorer areas or what have you. The items could even have the same stats/bonus as the raid ones and only have a different name and graphics; although ideally of course the bonus would be different. Keeping it all the same would be a lame lazy reason to maintain the balance to make sure that crafted items were as useful as raid items. Of course, collecting the items to craft the non raider weapons would have to be a challenge compared to raiding as far as the amount of effort put into it.
