Make it an option to buy and drink/eat without going into the backpack.

I like it. But I know a few folk that keep their food stuff on em at all times... pvpers and what not. So it if ever something like this is done an option is best... still its one of the things for the back burner to me.

Might be nice to have it an option at the barkeep. Maybe when you buy one you eat/drink it automatically right there.
Personally i buy a stack of 20 heal/spellpoint foods and stick em on a hotbar for later use.Star Firefall

The best way, other than buying 100 foods/drinks and hotbarring them, is to use the vendor window itself...
Just buy a food and/or drink, switch to the sell tab, and they should be in the first page (unless you carry lots of worthless crud).
Simply click the food/drink and hit 'U'.
