    Default Crosbow rate of fire?

I'm looking for some data-based information on crossbow rate of fire. Specifically, I'd like a comparison of Heavy, Light, Repeater and Great Crossbow speeds.

Crossbows and Great Crossbows have the same rate of fire (As do light vs heavy). RR is Rapid Reload, RS is Rapid Shot and are represented by the numbers in parens.

    Code:
    Weapon BaB 0 BaB 1 BaB 2 BaB 3 BaB 4 BaB 5 BaB 6 BaB 7 BaB 8 BaB 9 BaB 10 BaB 11 BaB 12 BaB 13 BaB 14 BaB 15 BaB 16
    (RR | RS / RR & RS)
    Crossbow 20 (25 / 30)	23 (28 / 33)	26 (31 / 36)	28 (33 / 38)	30 (35 / 40)	32 (37 / 42)	33 (38 / 42)	34 (39 / 44)	35 (40 / 44)	36 (41 / 46)	37 (42 / 46)	38 (43 / 47)	39 (44 / 48)	40 (45 / 49)	41 (46 / 50)	42 (47 / 51)	43 (48 / 52)
    Repeater 20 (25 / 30)	60 (65 / 72)	60 (72 / 82)	66 (75 / 85)	66 (81 / 90)	75 (84/ 96)	77 (87 / 98)	78 (90 / 99)	81 (92 / 102)	84 (93 / 105)	86 (94 / 105)	87 (97 / 108)	90 (101 / 111)	93 (102 / 114)	96 (103 / 115)	99 (106 / 117)	101 (109 / 120)

Thanks J. I assume the numbers are = number of shots in some given time. What is the time? Also, I assume none of the numbers represent fire rate without any feats?

The numbers are how many shots in a 1 minute (60 second) period. The first number outside of the parens is the RoF without any feats. The first number before the slash in parens is the RoF with *either* rapid reload OR rapid shot the second number in the parens after the slash is the RoF with *both* rapid reload AND rapid shot.

I'm having a lot of fun with my Great Crossbow build but it's not powerful. At level six, every feat has gone into making the Crossbow as effective as possible, yet it is still weak compared to almost any other warrior build. I may switch out for heavy repeater soon, as it does more damage (on paper).

I need to try a pure Longbow build too. With the ranger strength bonus, I'm sure it is more effective.

I'd like to look at some numbers first. jjflanigan, do you know the fire rate of Bows?

improved Crit makes a world of difference with GCrossbows.......but it's still slow.
But you can find some great ones on the AH cheap. That banishing rapier may rule, but my banishing Great crossbow was dirt cheap and works pretty good too.

I found a Cripling of Righteousness on the broker. That's pretty hot for our level of play. I am looking forward to Improved Crit, if I can only survive...

Alas Kepto VII the crossbowman died at level six. It was a fun build but even with full emphasis on effective Crossbow use, and a nice weapon, he was unimpressive. I'm certain a Longbow Ranger could be more effective and not have to build everything into it.
