    Default Self repair

Is it possible to repair yourself if you multiclass to sorcerer lvl 1. I am Fighter class 1 and this will make my decision to multiclass or not.

If you multiclass as a wizard or sorcerer, you'll gain the ability to use Repair Wands with no chance of failure, along with all other arcane wands. Wizard would probably be a better choice, since your intelligence is likely higher than your charisma. Wizard will also give you a bonus metamagic feat. Most people take Extend, so you can have two minutes of some of the lower level spells. Also, you need to be aware that to actually cast a spell, you'll need a minimum ability(Int for wizards, Cha for sorcs) score of 10 + spell level. So if you want to cast level 1 spells, you'll have to have an 11 Int or Cha. Items and feats can be used to meet this goal, but it may involve using up and equipment slot.

It's also important to know that as far as wands go it's your total character level that dictates what level of wand you can use, not your caster level. So in effect if you are a Ftr 4/ Wiz 1 you can still use all the samewands that a lvl 5 wizard can, effectively giving you access to repair Mod. wands. A note to keep in mind when multiclassing wiz or sorc though is that sorc gain access to higher level spells slower than wizard.

Depending on your body feat (if you picked one), won't there be arcane spell failure from your plating to deal with, or does that not happen with wands?

Does not happen with wands. Feel free to use any.

    No arcane failure from wands.

To the other poster, you are correct about the Character level, but a minor correction would be repair serious at L5, as that's when it is available.

The same is true for pally/ranger/cleric types, cept with heal wands.

Remember also that taking a level of arcane makes all those looted wands become valuable to you now. That blur wand you would have slod or given to the party mage, you can use if you meet the minimum level req'd to wield the wand. Can be hugely helpful in solo play AND group play.

I may not like what you have to say, but I will defend to the death, your right to say it.
