    Default mod7 raid docents: failure

Ok, at this point we can decide that all named raid loot from Module 7 has been discovered, which means there are no docents.

    That's just wrong.

The whole theme of mod7 raid armor was to introduce high-qualify defensive armors that also give you an offensive bonus to your melee attacks.
    Fullplate: +2 attack rolls
    Breastplate: Destruction
    Chainshirt: Crippling
Outfit: Banishing & +3 wis to DC

But alas, Warforged have been unfairly excluded from all that. There's two ways the devs can fix it:
The Simple Way: Invent two new named docents, and add one to each raid. (Example: Tharakkhide Docent, +5 Fear-immunity, Greater Acid Resist, DR 5/Law, attacks are Roaring, user is Raged as per the spell)

The Tricky Way: Add a dialog option to the Artificer of the Twelve where he can accept any of the four mod7 raid armors and give you back an equivalent docent in exchange.

I was going to post about this earlier but held off..........

I can't imagine why the devs would include all these armors but exclude warforged for some reason...

Welcome to the world of Warforged. The only decent named docent they put out there was the docent of Defiance and its not raid loot.

Velah: +5 dex and is like +1 or two so a +5 docent gave ya the same ac
Titan:A clickie that doesn't last long enough to be useful
DQ: no docent that I know of
Abbot: Except for Neckalce turn in, No docent
    Reaver:No armor

Raid wise WF have always pretty much been left out.

This is different. This module has armors which give a true offensive benefit.

It's very useful if you're a sorc blocking in the middle of your own firewall. Besides, none of the fleshy armor from that raid is any good (considering the delay of a module it took before the raid became playable). Warforged aren't worse off.

At the time of release, both Laliat armors were junk, so warforged weren't worse off. (Later Marilith Chain was indirectly boosted to be somewhat good)

And no armor either, except for the Abbot's Robe which is trash that actually makes you take more damage. Warforged aren't worse off.
In fact, the turn-in armor gives them +6 AC, making them much better than other docents you could get.

I think the devs think wf are overpowered and if they give them named loot it would unbalance the game.... jk
There is no wf love I can think of as far as loot goes...

I like getting loot... its part of the game thats fun.
I stopped playing my lvl 9 wf barbarian because there is really nothing to look forward to

Also the loot dosen't have to be great, just the idea of getting named loot that can be of some use on a wf would be nice.

Either way would be a good step to help the forged out. I would go for the first option and add two docents. Though the user is raged as per the spell is a little much.

You are forgetting the dragon docents all of which provide 1 less ac then the equivalent types for fleshy armor.

your wrong. It is the single best pound for pound docent in the game and GUESS WHAT? YOU DONT HAVE TO GRIND THROUGH A RAID TO GET IT!!!! I play WF, but come on DR/20 on top of all the immunities and if you make a GS Neg item woohoo!!!

Correct me if I am wrong... but I heard someone completed the 100th titan raid and still hasn't gotten the docent or seen it drop!

White Dragon Docent provides Moderate Fortification, which for a warforged is all the Fortification you need. A dwarf in White Dragon Plate still needs to get Heavy Fortification from elsewhere.

It's simple really, the Developers have realized that the hulking brutish trashcans we call warforged are simply that.... trashcans. Therefore, they get garbage if they get anything at all from a raid.

Re-roll those trashcans into mighty and omnipotent halflings! you will be pleased!

    Nonsense and heres why,

So essentially your saying that a benefit for selecting warforge nessecitates a nerfing of equipment available to them? Lets see how that works for other races shall we... Should armor provided to dwarves all give a -4 to ac when facing a giant or how about resitance items providing 2 less to saves for the little people? Should all halflings not benefit from the first point of dodge bonus provided from eq? Certainly when a dwarf who purchases a minos helm the helm should have the toughness feat removed right?? Right?? To put it another way, I already paid a steep cost in selecting a warforge at character creation there is no need to make players pay again everytime they want new equipment. All that is also forgetting the blue and black docent also provide less AC and last I checked no moderate fort on them either. Heck its not like the ac bonus doesn't exist as code as you can clearly see on the emarld claw docents that reinforced plating exists and would make an incredible amount of sense on the dragon docents. If I sound terse its largely because I'm sick of hearring that ehem ... arguement made to justify why its alright WF continue to get penalized through poor armor choices.

Personally I'd like to see them add the docent from Pop as a raid reward in the reaver.

I like collecting Docents. *Is still praying for the Titanic Docent on his Fighter.* So, if any were added, even as raid loot, it'd make me a happy camper. >>

The new Icy Rainments outfit from Ghost of Perdition has made the module 7 warforged situation even worse. Previously a warforged monk was a moderately bad idea... but now it's nearly idiotic to roll a monk who's locked out from benefiting from that great defensive item.

I would also include wf dex fighters/ranger and rogue builds in addition to the monk.
