Feat exchange problem

I have a simple question.

Are deflect arrows and stunning attack both available at the same level? I thought they were. I took deflect arrows at level 1 I think and now I want to exchange it out. It seems to rarely work at all. I wanted to exchange it out for stunning attack but it only offers me non monk feats when I put the monk feat Deflect arrows in the exchange block.

Any help would be appreciated or should I hang tough on deflect arrows in hopes of a revamp to its effectivness?

I've seen several reports on the forums about bugs involving the swapping of monk feats, and stunning fist in particular.. not sure on the details though.

When I passed level 6, I was able to choose it as a feat.

I think that somewhere in the ten billion lines of spagetti code there is something that says that, since Stunning Fist is a monk feat, you can only replace it with other monk feats, with exceptions...

I dunno. The only feat I was given the choice to exchange for it was Weapon Finesse (Monk special, chosen at level 2). I haven't gone back to him to see if any of my level 6 choices can be exchanged; I'm not sure it's going to be worth the hassle. My hotbars are already packed

4I was able to swap stunning fist for deflect arrows. You may have taken it as your regular feat, instead of your monk feat. You could swap them around, but it will take multiple swaps and 3 day waiting periods. I'm in a similar dilemma myself right now. I hate Fred.

That is not how it works.

On a level that you get a bonus feat, if you use your general feat slot to take a feat that's also on the bonus feat list, then later respec attempts allow you to swap either of them for a general feat.

Deflect arrows can be a general feat or a monk bonus feat. Stunning Fist however can ONLY be a monk bonus feat. If you spent your general feat on deflect arrows it shouldn't allow you to switch it out for stunning fist.
