I am having a freaking blast playing my monk and want to give everybody a big thumbs up for all the hard work that went into creating them. There are still some bugs to be worked out, but those have done nothing to diminish my enjoyment.

Monks are a true test of ones understanding of DDO game mechanics and for those new to the game, do not be discouraged by some of the negative posts about them. Yes, they are hard to play, but they are no more or less effective then any other class.

Example: Vons 3 in 35mins, with 2 10th level monks and a 10th level bard. (Emmaa mentioned it in another post).

Lamma and my Dingding, using fists, properly buffed and working as a team, tore up the quest by using stun and trip combos. Our poor little bard, Pixxie, was doing all she could to keep up with us, and I don't mean healing. Speed, team work and stuns killed the beholders better then any class at our current level. Even the Maurat was easy, but we actually had to buy cheap anarchic weapons to kill it. Funny thing about the run was it was our 3rd try because we made some stupid mistakes the first 2 times. Like forgetting anarchic weapons on the first, then forgetting to buy more fox cunning potions the 2nd. After the successful run we took turns updating and ran it 2 more times at the same pace. As of today we were ramsaked on the chests.

I don't expected new and inexperienced players to be blowing though Vons 3 with 3 10th level characters in 35mins, but if you learn the games mechanics you will have a blast playing any class as long as you use team work good combat tactics.

*All 3 of us began playing during headstart.*
