Scales, 15-20k plat each on the AH.

Fab 5s (rapiers/scimitars and GT of Disruption not withstanding), 50-70k plat

Fair would be 3 scales for one of those, maybe 4-5 for the Handaxe, except for the bow which I'm not qualified to speculate on.

The rest, however, is simple AH economics.

I have to (though I do not enjoy) agree with Gol here. The vorp handaxe is nice, the GT/Disruptor bow is pretty nice (though ranged weapons as a rule SUCK for ghostlies), but the rest is hardly worth even 5 scales a piece.

odd, though that you say power 5s go for 50-70k, whenever I see a vorpal/smiter/disruptor, even if it's usually **** it's at least 100k. maybe I'm just seeing a lot of overpriced flukes

Oh no, you'll see em for 100k plat to 500k plat....and they'll still be there 3 days from now.
They go for much less....hell, I set my vorpals at between 200k gold and 400k gold...and they
take a while to sell, sometimes needing relisted.

Whats up there on the AH isn't always what they go for.

Blue scales are a sought after item still, moreso the last few MOD's.

With the new mod, white and black scales are pretty much obsolete....
The only reason blue is sought after now is because of the greater arcane from it....
The only other items with it are green blade and skiver, which are both weapons and use up one of your hands. If you are a caster, you can get archmagi bracer from new raid and greater arcane from robe and have a one-hander free to make a int+9 or cha+9 weapon from shroud and keep the superior potency/focus on the other hand.
They really should give us another raid item with greater or superior arcane lore, in my opinion....

Totally agreed. The grind for blue scales has become beyond reasonable now that folks seem to be less interested in white / black scales...worse than the Shroud. You probably have to run the Tor 40-70 times to acquire 25 blues on your own.

yeah I'm trying to get them for my caster and cleric. haven't been able to get the skiver yet, but I did happen to see a hat of archmagi on the AH.. wouldn't mind snagging one of those from a chest
