Default planning a new rogue and have a question

was planning on making a new rogue once I get my drow rep on my fighter and was wondering what alignment I should go with so what do you think and why?

leaning towards LG because I have access to a few true law pure good weapons. But also thinking of neutral for the rare item that requires you to be such.... what cha think?

Neutral. It makes you immune to alot of alignment damage and you will have the UMD to use and item you want.

I would say true neutral and max umd. Take umd feat and get golden cartouche from delera's end reward (+3 umd) I assume you have no tomes but with a drow rogue I would probaly put you cha somewhere between 12-14.

IMO there are only three alignments to choose from in DDO.
    LG, CG, N.
Neutral gives you stability items.....nice at low lvls....not needed at high lvls. (don't stack with similar items)

LG, and CG, give you much more weapons.

Pure Good is a great DPS weapon effect. The best IMO. So I really suggest LG or CG.
I prefer LG myself. But the current end content has us fighting a bunch of LE devils.......so Chaotic weps do have some good use there.

this game really is about offensive power and DPS.
Don't choose an alignment that will restrict you from a favorite weapon choice.

Holy Burst of Pure Good is my favorite.

Edit: I guess a high UMD could still allow you to use any wep though.....and if neutral you wouldn't take any neg lvls from using any wep. So I guess i can see the others points about N.

I gave up a life of farming to become an Adventurer.

He is a rogue. He will not be restricted from any weapons. True neutral gives you immunity to unholy damage. Immunityy to some damage spells. He can use either true chaos or true law with no penalty. He actually comes out ahead being neutral over either lawful or chaotic. I would argue the only reason to go L/G on any UMD char is if you intend to splash monk or pally.

alignment is mainly determined by your class mix, a pure rogue doesn't really have to worry so much about alignment as one that splashes another class...

if you are planning on splashing pally or monk - must be LG (or LN for monk)
if you are planning on splashing barb or bard must be non-lawful

otherwise - TN - makes you immune to unholy attacks (quite a few in the game) also allows you to use axiomatic and anarchic without a penalty (i like neutral good for this as well).

if i have a umd toon without a mix of the above typically go with neutral good/TN so that i have the widest availability of weapons

I agree, since umd is totally open to rogues, being LG is basically the only requirement you should keep in mind IF you're gonna take Pally or Monk, pally is a very good option is you think on multiclassing for the saves of course

how much cha... IMO, it will always depend on the build you want, 12-14 like someone said seems like a decent number to me.
