Default Fear potions not usable while feared?

Not sure if this has been brought up for discussion, but I've attempted on several characters to use a FEAR POTION to remove fear on myself. This is giving me a failed action every time.

    Is this working as intended?

Yes it's been brought up before, tons of times, even before the change was implemented.
We do not know whether it's intended.

Arrow I truly hope it is working as intended.

I would think it´s working as intended. I mean you are in terror (and should visit the cleaners too), you cant swing a blade nor lift your shield to save your life, you cant grab your cell phone and dial 911, basically you just can´t do squat.....and you are as able to do something as an enraged Barbarian (Funny...they also ***** about not being able to chug a potion don´t they)

Lets face it, you fail a save vs fear...you are feared and in trouble (Thats what makes the game playable and not just just an avenue for us players to steamroller through).

Likewise with Barbarians....You are in a self-induced rage (probably after biting your shield with a nerve-dangling busted tooth), chances are you´ll get killed before you realize what medical condition yo are in and stop, pop a flask of cool looking stuff and move on....

    Well, it obviously wasn't intended.

That doesn't mean it will be changed back though. It's an side-effect of the fact that they're now considered clickies. You can't use potions while feared, in CE, Tenser's, Raged, or Madstone Raged.

I agree. This is as it should be.

Makes more sense now. Failing your will save means you wouldnt be thinking clearly(hmmm i seem to be under the affects of a fear spell), you would be terrified and seek any means of escape. At least it doesnt physically make you flee, allowing a party member to possibly drop a remove on you.

That would be logical except for the fact you can use every other "non castable" potion. So you can for example drink healing pots. What makes you think a healing potion would require less presence of mind than a remove fear potion?

It's a mistake... It was a real problem for barbs when they "fixed" the lessor restore pots, and now they've messed up more people with these "improvements"

They really should make all potions self only again. Sure it was a little rough passing a potion during a battle, but thats how it should be IMO.

Hopfully healing pots are next. When mobs get feared and im wacking away on them I dont see them getting to drink potions. Fear should be just as damaging to us as it is the mobs, all you should be able to do is run.
