    Default Please remove paralysers from your "epics"

    Folks, the boat has left. Paralysers are no longer epics. If you're not selling them in the vendors yet drop them on the AH at no more than double face value.

    And please stop contaminating the "epic" section of your trade lists with them.

    That is all.

    Ive got news for you, disruptors, vorpals, banishers and smiters are also much less epic than they use to be. Ive sold quite a few of those to the broker due to them not selling for base value on the Auction house (including +2 acid greatclub of disruption, which I would have thought would be worth at least the 10kpp starting price).

    Of course not all power5s are equal. A banisher rapier is still pretty **** nice, as is a +4 vorpal.

    Yes, well since anyone THF nowadays is at least half a chance to be an old build (and equipped already) or gimped, two handers aren't worth much. And a banisher or smiter on anything worse than a 19-20 base crit range has been junk for a while too.

    I put most of my Epics to good use and used them to power up Shroud cells... Although I did keep all the Uber stuff like Crossbows and Great Clubs....

    hehe ... they are indeed common, but for antyhign GH or earlier, paralyzers are still pretty awesome.

    A +1 vorp is the same as a +4 vorp whichs means its still utterly worthless

    More enhancement bonus = more critical confirming = more vorpal.

    I have 6 capped characters bro, and i don't think anybody would say i need to reroll any of them. Come melee elite shroud orthons, you can dps them and i'll use vorps, we'll see who finishes first.

    That's true, but the #1 factor in how good a vorpal is is whether it is one-handed (good) or two-handed (barely better than vendor trash).

    #2 factor is the accuracy (consider higher + ratings, Righteousness and any level (lesser, normal or greater) Evil/Lawful Outsider Bane here).

    #3 is whether it is finessable or not.

    That's true, because even in quests where vorpals are weaker than DPS weapons, they still have a very visible, very cool effect, one swing in about 30 (I'm assuming 2/3 of 20's are confirmed as crits)

    a paralyzer at lvl 10 is nice, course lvl 8 is nicier

    bloodstone or marilith chain seeker bonuses add some serious mileage to crit confirmation on vorps.

    Correct me if im wrong here.... but what I consider an epic is what a weapon does not how common it is. A vorpal is still a vorpal no matter how you look at it. The weapons themselves have not changed and they are just as effective as they were before but because more people are doing higher lvl content they are looted more often an therfore more common.
