    Default thinking of a barb

Hope to close in on 1750 favor soon and dreaming of my first 32-point build in the extra slot. I am thinking about a War-forged barabarian, but have very little experience with either warforged or barbs.

Here are the schematics of what I am thinking...

18 strength, 20 consitution, no points added to any other stats

lvl 1 feat - adam body
lvl 3 feat - two hand fighting
lvl 6 feat - heavy fort
lvl 9 feat - imp crit bludgeon (maul user)
lvl 12 feat - power attack

I welcome feedback for those who know warforged and barbs - thanks!

I don't think that Improved Fortification is a good idea, as you'll no longer receive meaningful benefit from healing spells, and few arcanes are willing to repair WF currently

Not a fan of your feat/stat selection.

Waste of 2 feats, heavy fort and adamantine body. (heavy fort means you will have no cleric that can heal you, and unless your an all WF guild, I think your better served elsewhere. Any body selection on a barb is a waste of feats)

If you are going to go 2 Handed 1-Two Handed Fighting 3 - Power Attack 6- Improved 2H Fighting 9- Imp Crit Bludgeon 12- Greater 2 HF 15- Stunning Blow (or can take Toughness but you dont need it).

    18 STR
    16 Con

    Some into dex and wisdom.

WF, although intended to be tanks, are incredibly hard to heal, so unless you can make a relatively self sufficient build, will not end up receiving required healing. If your do insist on WF, do not take improved fort, as it will render you unhealable by divine magic! Consider spalishing 2 fighter as well, it gives you 2 good bonus feats, as well as fighter str as an enhancement. This way your feat breakdown would probably look like this:

    1: Adamantine Body
    3: THF
6 (Fighter): Power Attack and ITHF
9 (Fighter): IC: BLDG and GTHF
    12: Toughness
    15: Toughness or Weapon Focus

If you decided to go dwarf, spec with greataxes (IC: Slash), and replace adamantine body with another toughness feat or even dodge.
If you decided to go human, spec greatswords (IC: Slash), and replace adamantine body with another toughness feat or dodge, and as a human bonus you could do anything.

You should put some points into dex (at least 13), which should make you eligible for some more feats, and allow you to take the full AC bonus out of a madstone shield.
THELANIS - Chief Scientist of DARPA
    Ravinex: Bard 18/Fighter 2 - Krotus: 20 Fighter - Hemium: Ranger 18/Fighter 2 - Stema: Favoured Soul 11 - Hemios: Ranger 15/Fighter 1/Monk 1

    Dont need toughness on a barb, have plenty of hit points.;

I agree with Boldarblood. A body feat and heavy fort feat are near useless on a barb, and here's why:

    1) A body feat means you expect to have a useful AC, which you won't have being a barb (rage lowers AC and 2HF means no shield).
    2) WF start off with 25% fort, so getting a basic moderate fort item (lvl 7?) is easily attainable. This will get you to 100% fort.

If you want to do mauls, by all means go for it. But the sword of shadows combined with the power crit rage enhancements will make you smile a big evil grin every time you swing.

    18 str ( mandatory)
16 con ( sufficient con. Your rages will last a long time and you won't be failing fort saves anytime soon)
14 dex ( enough dex so that you won't get hit by EVERY aoe spell thrown at you)
10 wisdom (no point in having negative will save)
