1) (The big one) Raise Dead- Does this have the same range as Slay Living (ie pretty short)? And is it range to the stone (I'd assume) or range to the ghost?
This has the same range as any Cure spell, and it's range to the ghost, as you target the player.
2) The "mass cure" spells- Right now I have mass cure light (which Im guessing is kinda useless), but how do they work- does it heal everyone in my party or is it basically a small radius spell? (ie does it only effect roughly the same area as bless)
Mass spells affect everyone within a certain range, these spells can be targeted with you as the center, or any other party member as the center if you are not participating in melee combat.
3) Death Ward - Not a spell question perse, but are there other creatures than beholders that cast something for this to block? I thought it'd be cool to have when we fight beholders, but apparently they're mean and dispell it before they kill you.
Anything that casts inflict *various* wounds spells, or pk, slay living, fod, and destruction. It also protects against vorpals.
4) Does "Freedom of movement" allow you to ignore "Grease"? Not that I've ever had an enemy cast this on me, but apparently it's great fun to watch the heroic newbie cleric slowly sliding down a ramp into some elite trap that's going to do a bazillion points of damage..
Yes, it also allows you to ignore icy surfaces, and grants immunity to hold person.
5) Greater Command- (this is such a cool spell) What's the limit to how many creatures I can command with one cast? Is it all within a radius or based off of the HD?
There is no HD cap for greater command, and I've never seen it cap at a certain number of creatures either, so it's radius from the selected target.
Thanks (as always) for any answers or suggestions you can provide.
