    Default Daydreams of Mod 8

(Mod 7 isn't even that old yet and here I'm trying to start a thread about Mod 8. Jeez.)

I was just curious to read eveyone's top 5 wishes for content in this next mod.

    Mine top 5 are:

    1) Druids.

Monks are fine, but I was really hoping for the Druid class first. I played them many times in pnp and then again later in NWN as well. I love the class, the spells, the mythos created around them, the animal companions, all of it!

    2) Half-Orcs as a player race.

    C'mon, I want to be a Half-Orc Rog/Barb with a starting strength of 20 and a starting charisma of 7. lol

    3) Gnomes and the Artificer class. (That's two, huh?) I'd just love to try it out and be Gnome Artificer. I'm not sure if the class would work well in DDO, but I'm daydreaming here.

    4) Psionics. Mindflayers get it, I'm told, why can't we? But once again maybe too complex to implement in DDO.

    5) Familiars and pets. This ties into my number one wish because when we get Druids some distant day, I want to always have my Direwolf at my side.

So what is your top five hopes for Mod 8?

    Thanks

    Snip

P.S. My top five all have to do with options for player races and class choices simply because I'm waaaaay too new to be bored with the content yet. I haven't even finished my VON's. But more is better when fun is involved, usually, and so far this game is a blast!

Default Psionics add I quit for sure

The one class that D&D has screwd up and needs to be left out is Psionics. I am sorry but I have had to sit through one too many PNP session where the person who made a Psionics and it ruined the campaign. Talk about an over powered class and that is all Psionics is. It is truely unbalanced as alot of there skills you get no saves or high saves. I am glad they are not in the game and I know I will leave if ever added. Sad to say thats about the only class I feel that way about.

    Top five wishes:

    1. Single rate for DDO and LOTRO, dont care what price it is, just would like to keep it in the family.
    2. To be able to switch from any toon, on any account, on any server to another toon, on any account, on any server, without having to log off and on repeatedly.
    3. So many quests that my butt hurts for weeks (from marathon questing).
    4. Explorer areas xp evened out, xp per 100/200 kills rather than large gaps we have now.
    5. Some type of announcement that no matter how fickle, angry, negative, irate some of us are that we all agree is ubertastic.

Last one is impossible i know, but it'd be a nice breath of fresh air, for me. How we treat each other in game and on the forums, at times, is more upsetting to ME, than anything Turbine could possibly do.
But thats me, and is not a flame in any way, just a worthless observation.

Yes & no. 1 I'd like it to function more like P&P, 2 aggro management is very much like an art which is why you run into many aquishy Rogues, flanking is much easier for a new player to accomplish & quite honestly aggro management will still focus in heavily in getting a mob to face certain directions, not to mention make mobility and tactical sense of what's goin on that much more important.

And lastly this has always bugged me even though Rogue is always my favorite class......

    I know, that's why I was puzzled.

Rogue would be dealing less damage, period... I think... flanking will be as hard... and less frequent.

    Default Just Five?

I would like more elements from the Eberron setting:
    • Artificers
    • Lite/Scout model Warforged (Fembots!)
    • Travel deeper into Xen'drik or to another continent.

    In terms of quests:
    • A goodly number of small/mid-sized quests at all levels.
    • I'd like to see a quest series unfold over a character's leveling lifespan. Interesting to see if this could implement for capped characters as well as new characters.
So, I hear that one day we may get Familiars...
    ....I want a Velociraptor!

    Hmmmm....ok top 5:

    1. Psionics - Not that different from our current spell point system. If we used spell points in P&P, spellcasters would be ALMOST as powerful as psionics.

    2. Half-elves/Half-orcs - We WERE promised their release to be at the same time as the monks when monk talk began LAST YEAR.

    3. Aasimar/Tiefling - Make them a favor unlock like the Drow were.

    4. Druids - 2 years and we're still missing this core class????? Unacceptable.

    5. Warlocks - All you'd have to do is tie a spell point cost to each use of the Eldritch Blast and Invocations. I mean come on, the instant answer to Sorcerer/Wizard addicts who want to wear armor without a level of Bard to allow them to do it.

And the next 5 to round out the top 10:

    6. Bring back the WDA - We ALL want this one for VARIOUS reason.

    7. Favored Souls - Come on, we have sorcerers, all you have to do is overlay the sorcerer template on the cleric for spellcasting.

    8. Use of the Sorcerer/Bard ability to learn spells from other lists through study - It's in the PHB in both classes description, why don't we have it here?

    9. PRACTICED SPELLCASTER - As a multi-classer extrordinaire, I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting this feat in here. I mean NWN2 has it, why can't/don't we?????

    10. Familiars/Animal Companions/Mounts - WOW has 'em. NWN has 'em. NWN2 has 'em. WHY NOT US???????

    1. 6 man quests for level 16
    2. 6 man quests for level 17
    3. 6 man quests for level 18
    4. Level cap increase
    5. More spells

Don't want new classes or races right now as I have no desire to spend another mod rerunning low level content.

4)High to Very High End Quests Only.
    5)Prestige Classes and Epic Feats.

Druid and half orcs are removed from 4e. Gnomes are not a base race, but the statistics to play them is in the 4e monster manual. Weapon master is arguably the worst and most broken PrC introduced into D&D 3.0-3.5.

    etcetcetc

#1 - Quick fixes (less than 4 days) to GAME BREAKING bugs. (Ex: Current broken blade barriers, Abbot's meteor room wasnt fixed for how long?)

    Everything else is less important..

But #2 would be ONE total respec (Attributes, feats, enhancements, spells, skills.. Not class, race, appearance or name) that you had to unlock, per character.

In my opinion, all you people are asking for is either **** that would take them FOREVER to create and implement and wouldn't really add much OR things to make your specific characters better.

I would like to see the game as a whole improve for everyone, and the #1 issue with DDO is and has always been the bugs.
