    Default They say I have the voice

    I am a long standing player since headstart. Every week someone says I should be doing voice-over work for DDO.
    Pre-Merge I was on Aundair Server and now on khyber.
    I always play WF. When people compare my voice to Darth-Vader I always reply with the following:
    "Luke, I am your father. And you brother. It's a complicated story!"
    Sooooo...... ok people how do I get DDO to hire me for voice overs/narration??
    Those that know me, come on. Let's get me working. LOL

    MEMBER! you do have the voice...i always called it the god voice :P id say get a bunch of people to send letters to turbine requesting your audio track....it might work lol

    EDIT:

    Hey if you need help posting a sample wav file or something send me a PM or whatever I'll be more than happy to help you with the technology side if you are technology challenged... even host it or use youtube or somesuch

    However I have no idea how someone gets a job as a voice talent, but I would think your voice would qualify!

    You need to get an agent...
    You'll need to become a member of AFTRA as well...
    union rules an all...
    but you can't get into AFTRA unless your working...
    oh it's all very complicated...
    just forget about it!

    all right I found some free software... and set it up in my sandbox!

    navigate to:
    http://sandbox.dyn-o-saur.com/listen...upload_wav.php
    wait for the silly java animation to chill out...
    wait through for the advertisement (3-4 secs)
    click next

    use the standard recording controls to record your voice (keep it under a minute, this is the fee version after all)
    press send when you have your sample

    wait for the wav file to get uploaded to the server (longer the recording the longer the wait on this)
    a new screen will draw witha link, below the link is the URL to the sound that you posted...

    then you can post the link back here and share your voice with the world!

    Dude I have always said any warforge in the game should have your voice over. If anyone should play Warforge it is you. Love the voice. You should sing the DDO theme song :P

    Your laugh reminds me of the Devil in "Legend" played by Tim Curry.

    If my opinion means anything I think he would make for a great DDO voice over for WF, Orcs, or Evil wizards. You remember a voice like his with just one grouping (although I've grouped more than once).

    I should go on to say he wouldn't make a good halfling, or elf..

    I keep threatening to make a female halfling one of these days. As a matter of fact, if we ever get another character slot, I promise to create a female halfling barbarian just for the hilarity factor. I just have to think of the cutest, cuddliest, softest and sweetest name for her.
