Just like those coming from WOW. You can leave one game to come to another, but what you learned in one world will help you in another. I came from COH/COV and within days felt comfortable in DDO within days, because ultimately all gaming worlds are made by people and up of people from the same world.

I live by many principles, but the one that has faired me well in DDO is this one... "It's not what you are saying or what you are asking for, it's how you say it". Based on my experience, about 50% of the people on the server will respond afirmatively to you if you pose a question in a proper manner, but then there is the tricky part... What percentage of those answers will be of any value. I could talk to 10 of my best mates in game and get a number of different answers. Ask many people many questions and get many answers and then jump in there and see what works best, using your own personal storehouse of knowleged and that information you have acquired from people in the game and GOOD LUCK!

Lol! seriously i have been havin a ball with Trissa! she is reely reely great!. i played a bit with her hubby too but he's the silent type. I find myself stalling out when i am not with someone who has actually invited me to come with them and i go back and run quests solo till i hit elite. i solo'd all of the Harbor quests Trissa and i did on elite just to make sure i could do it and i then solo'd "The Low Road"
on elite three times until i noticed the xp drops off! that was educational. does the xp stop dropping? or do you just get less and less until you finally get nothing? anyway i hope to see all of you at some point! if you see Omenborn on, please say hello! i appreciate just sayin hi! as much as i do help! if you guys have nooblets i am happy to drop what i am doin to help you complete quests or runs, i seem to learn faster that way. I am a pretty decent healer although i am still learnin the spells, at least i havent lost anybody from a group yet if i still had spell points or was alive ;-P

Yes the XP does drop after 3 times, or you could do Water Works all the time to level cap! Serious, there would be some idiot who would run it if he could!

If you saw the cute mini beholders in the new Hound quest, Badsign, you wouldn't give a fluffy verison of them to Ministry, either!!

I will always find Something to do! I had been havin plenny fun an even when i dont accomplish much i usually learn somethin.
anyway are there leveling guides for toons out there? you know, where folks recommend the best quest chains an where to get em? i can solo most quests on normal but there are some that are really really hard, and a lot of the groups i see my level range are doing quests i never heard of.
mainly because they use initials instead of spellin the quest out ;-D.

VoN: Vault of Night numbers cooraspond to the quest, pre raid and raid Levels 8+ also known as the Dragon raid
MoM: Maze of Madness level 10ish and up
PoP: Prisoner of the Planes Level 12ish
TR: Tangleroot level 4 in house P
STK: Shan-to-Kor level 4 in the Marketplace
HiPS: Hiding in Plain SIght Level 10ish pre req for Titan

Then others that are known by name:

Hound: Hound of Xoriat Levels 15+
Titan: Refers to the Titan Raid, bot the Pre-raid and Raid Level 12
Delera's: Refers to the Delera's chain, in House J Level 6ish
Depths: 4 linked quests in House Denieth, all start with Depths level 3+
Catacombs: A marketplace chain quests that start in the catacombs Level 4ish
Proof: Proof is in the Poison, in the marketplace. Says level 6 try level 8+ on normal
The Vampire: The church and the Cult. Bring silver weapons Level 8+

GH: Gianthold, not a quest but an area

OMG... Those little guys are soooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!

I tried to capture one, but he kept trying to shoot little beams at me. They didn't do anything too much to me, but no matter how much I tried to pat him and get him to calm down, I couldn't.

And then when I tried to give him a little smack to slow him down to show him who the alpha male was, he just went splat.

Here I am, people dying and screaming about those Mind Flyers, all I was thinking as I was getting debuffed and being shot at was "Awwww They're sssssoooooo CUTE!!!" And was going to take a picture and all when I noticed that I had 3 negitive levels.

Obviously a rabid Mini-beholder and it needed to be put down. So Sad.

I left Thelanis about a year ago, but I was leaning towards joining the Infamous Flaming Vagabonds. I would definitely check them out.
