I didnt personnally take extend. Having 4 levels of ftr allows me to just kick in a ftr haste boost II if Im raged and need a bump, acknowledged that flexibility might make all the difference in the world. Extend would make it work much smoother though, too bad its not a ftr feat. Sitting at almost 400 sp I can afford to near constantly recast anyway.

I tried a build similar to this ... via toughness feats, bloodstone, minos legion helm....
just cant get the strength high enough like a fighter can, and ac is just a big problem,,, those 3 lay on hands dont last long after say level 9....giant area you start getting crushed mana sponge...dps is ok but I deleted him when he hit 15... the ac just isnt there and I think i was around 435 hp when i was 15 with no shroud items yet... was fun but didnt see it being one of my 8 keepers.. at the time I had like a 38 umd...so heal scrolls were no problem which was nice...but not realistic in the middle of a red name type fight constantly
jrp......let me know how it goes
Intimaturtles decrease their DPS to defend the rest of the party. And for once I'm going to agree with Borr0r, intimitanks make many areas of the game a lot easier on the cleric and the rest of the party since they are the one's taking and mitigating monster damage. This is their role in the party. You give an intimitank cleave/great cleave, you'll see some decent DPS. Also kill count is not a true measure of DPS since you can kill steal to pad your count. Your statement is akin to the pounding the proverbial square peg into a round hole.

I run a 12pal/4ftr dps drow paladin gracing Thelanis from golden days gone past of a lvl 10 cap. A thf paladin is the best spec'd paladin for those without uber loots and raid gear. I would never roll another dps paladin unelss things were to seriously change for them. A wf lord of the blades 12pal/4ftr would trounce this build in dps by a pretty wide margin though.
a, well me and Borror are buds and its an inside joke....no worries...and I dont think I am worried about kill counts.... it goes back to Borror wanting to tank reaver pretty earlier when reaver was released...he said he would AC turtle up and shield block....next thing ya know...Hey how is he hitting me I have a 62 ac unbuffed or whatever....I was the cleric and he was getting hammered....we finished the quest and after the loot was pulled and end rewards taken you hear his French voice...O XXXX I never had my combat Expertise on ...what a noob he says ..it was classic...cause he said Reaver couldnt hit him, and needless to say, the Reaver didnt have a scratch on him LOL until the arcanes got ahold of him
anyways back on Paly topic

Um, who doesn't do great damage with that kind of equipment? Having the best items in the game really has little to do with a good build. In fact I'd say if a build *requires* the best loot in the game to do well, it's not a good build. There are exceptions of course (like well-known tank builds declaring they need a chattering ring, +5 mith FP & Tower, etc to work but you get my point.
