    Default Power attack problem?

I need some help to gather data on this bug...

    My situation
My level 3 monk has power attack. At level 3 it is granting -3 to hit and +3 to damage (according to display).
This is true both with my fists and with quarter staff.
I would expect quarter staff to be -3 to hit and +6 damage but it definatly does not show that.

    Haven't verified
If it is display only and the qstaff is actualy doing +6 damage.
If it will be fixed once PA gets up to -5/+5
If it is happening on non-monks at any level.

I think the QStaff is in a unique weapon category of its own. Even though it is a two-handed weapon, it may be that because it is in this unique category that it doesn't get the double bonus from power attack. I'm sure someone more in the know will answer definitively, I just wanted to get something out there for you quick.

Quarter staff is a double ended weapon.

Nope, it's a bug. I don't have the quote anymore, but when Graal (I think it was him) said that they were considered dual weapons rather than two-handed weapons, he said that they were unaffected by the Two-Handed Figthing feats which according to MrCow isn't true (I'll test that in-game soon) but he did say that they were affected by Power Attack.

The THF line is a creation of Turbine, PA is not. Per the rules, you should be getting double bonus from PA as soon as you're using your two hands on a weapon and not dual-wielding it.

In PnP it is either one, whichever you prefer.

In DDO they are two handed weapons, although apparently they have some slightly off kilter code for some reason (I imagine because they originaly intended to have double weapons and they were based on that when it was scrapped, double mace in AH is probably related to that)

    No dev said that.

Well-known display bug. The inventory window only updates the handedness properties shown when the inventory is opened, not when the weapon is switched.

Equip kama, open inventory, you see +3 damage from Power Attack.
Switch to staff and its still +3.
Close inventory, open inventory, you now see +6 PA damage.
Switch to kama and its still +6.
Close inventory, open inventory, you now see +3 PA damage.
