    Default Deepwood Sniper, mechanics?

    Hey,

Is Deepwood Sniper enhancement a "per day" like skill boosts? Or is it on a cooldown like the new Smite Evil? How does this enhancement work? What are the bonuses to threat range/multiplier/+hit? Does the improved crit range stack with Improved Crit: Ranged?

    Thanks!

The number of uses is like trip or sunder, unlimited.

The sniper shot has a 10 second cool down which lets you get off 2 during a manyshot volley.

When used the sniper shot fires an arrow or arrows which has +4 to hit, +1 to the critical range of the weapon, and +1 critical multiplier for damage. On your typical bow with IC:ranged you would see a critical range of 18-20 ( from 19-20)and a multiplier of x4 ( from x3).

Some people claim it applies before IC but I have yet to see a critical on a roll of a 17.

    Try using a silver bow.

Never thought about checking that....but it does crit alot.
Seems that assuming I hit with that shot, it is almost always a crit.
But haven't checked combat log.....just seems that way when ranging a really big guy.

See I get the opposite. I rarely seem to get a critical shot off with the sniper shot except against big red and I do a lot of solo work. It would be fun to have sniper shot on a Bowbarian with crit rage 2 at level 18. Nothing like a crit range of 16-20 on a normal bow and 12-20 on the silver with an extra +1 multiplier.

I am pretty sure I have gotten several banishes from a roll of 17 using my banishing bow. I will see if I can get a screen shot one way or another with combat log.
