Download issue

When downloading I always get an error on client_sound.dat-6576 . Does anyone know what is wrong?

The file is ok so it could just be a connection issue, do you mean this happens when you install or when you actually download the full client from our website?

My friend has been trying to download the trial and keeps getting this error too. He has downloaded it multiple times and tried reinstalling each time, all without success. Any ideas what he might try?

Does your friend have a router or firewall or antivirus program running?

i to am having this issue, im an experienced player from the uk who wants to join some freinds in game in the us, after dl the client my install works fine, but when it tries to update it will not go by the point mentioned.

in the proccess of re dl it all, so ill post back what happens in 6-7hrs lol

ok no luck again, but its a diffrent error meg this time, posted in the other thread after you suggested a defrag and scan, ill try that

ok this is still not working at all, for some reason i cant see the game will not update, its is now saying i have a corrupt file, i have DL the files twice now, i dont know what else to do here, if i cant get it to work i will end up just taking my freinds to the EU version, i have never had this kind of problem there

My friend has given up too. He has downloaded and installed at least five times, each times receiving corrupt files. He usually gets a corrupt sound files, but it seems random.

I just finished building a new computer and I am getting the corrupt file message as well. The download goes fine but the install is saying the files are corrupt. Considering how long it takes to download even on a cable connection, its a bit frustrating to say the least. Perhaps an option to buy a CD for a nominal fee would be an option worth exploring?

Which is a fine option if you happen to have purchased the game in the box. For those of us who bought online and never owned a CD, that's rather difficult.

Those links do not work and have not for some time. Besides which, according to the text below those links, those files are over a year out of date.

Finally got mine to work. Must have been dropping packets or something, had 3 attempts corrupted. 4th attempt worked fine.
