    LOL!

I posted screenshots of my group's completion time on normal. 594 minutes.

Apparently, that was what VON3 took on release as well.

Yes, that's called not wiping. Trust me, the first times in there, it's not easy at all.

A good group can make it by wiping only once in there than finishing it in a really good time, still. But for a 17 minute run, you have to not wipe. Unless you got a good and experienced group, you'll wipe at least once unless you were, by luck, prepare for that raid. It's clearly not an easy raid. I'm slowly respec'ing my sorc for it, there's a few spells I want to have in there.

Until you see the ins and outs of it, and get a good group, there is no way you'll complete it in 17 minutes.

He actually didn't stay the whole time, but 2 hours. It's just the kind of group that don't have what it takes but will try hard to make it to the end.

Yes, but what better way to test than re-enter in the raiod at the moment you failed?

PS: Not arguing in favor of re-entering, we decided we'd not do it... but I did it the first times to test it and see the raid until the end.

Honestly, 10 hours means you've taken lots of time to GET THERE, rather than inside.

the 17 minutes is not a hard one to reach..

last night we did in 90 minutes with one wipe.. in the first 10 minutes we did like 75% dmg on the big boss..

we wiped lost one member and took a little time to reorganize and reenter..

if we didnt wiped think we will be in around that time.

No - it takes < 10 minutes to get there (the 1st time, maybe 2 minutes if cleared). 10 Hours comes from "holding the instance" through (I can't even fathom the math here) through a bunch of wipes and re-entering.

Well I've only been in each raid once. Completed both of them. And honestly everyone, the new raids are no different then any other raid in the past. When they are new, they are tough. When they are new, you will use more resources. But.......soon.......we will develope a style to beating each raid to the point that it is just like any other. Heck, just look at the Hound, aside from a lot of gamers still getting first looks, I know that the players whom have been in there multiple times alreayd have it down on normal. Soon it will be the new "Reaver" loot run with a 5-10 minute run to the quest. As will be the other new Raid.

I have to agree that Suulomades was a great challenge last night and the group I was in handled it with great skill and amazing communication. /cheers to maels guild and a few outsiders like myself that completed it.

I personally already have a few new ideas only being in there once. Now I was only on my bard this first time, and soon my cleric, caster and tankish types will get a taste and I will get to try some ideas out. In any case, the new content has been out a week, and some players are already throwing in the towel. Well just give it time, there will be plenty of gamers out there finding a stream lined method to help the realm out. Me included.

I agree this raid will get easier.

The absurdly long time was a pure PUG group, with the usual mix of good and mediocre players. People came, got frustrated, and went (I myself joined at about the 7 3/4 hour mark). Looking at the kill count, I saw 16 different player names (and as I focussed on Suulomades, I had no kills). In the end, the victory came down to Nuckles, an excellent rogue who joined the group very late and made the key difference in helping weather the hardest part (the second wave of Orthons), due to his ability to act as an intimitank, which is a VERY strong role to have in your party in this raid.

I learned a LOT about the raid from that run, and when I go back in with a good group (the sort of group that takes down Arraetrikos in 1.3 or less passes in part 4 of the Shroud), I'll put some of those strategies to use. I just feel sorry for the group leader, who managed to stay through the WHOLE run and still didn't get any raid loot for himself :-(.
