My most highly esteemed Turbine developers,

I was on the character slot bandwagon long before mod 7 and I would lik to renew my request. Could we please have more slots?!?

There has been a lot of forum chatter on this lately and I haven't seen any official Dev response. (Please correct and link me if I am wrong.) Could you please tell us the coffee table discussion in your office on character slots? What is the thinking behind the magic number of 7 (9 with full favor)? Is there a technical side to this or is it a matter of business model?

I would like 5 (yes, five) additional slots. I have characters currently planned for 3 more. In a total pinch, I would settle for one.

I don't think I am alone when I say the silence on this is as frustrating as not getting another slot with Mod 7.

If it is a technical issue, I would gladly trade my 36 potential slots on the other servers for 5 more on my main server.

Turbine, please chime in with what is up with this.
