No... the FE did not move THIS fast originally. And using the trees was not a lame tactic. It was the way it was intended to work at that time and this was a widely used tactic. Though using the South portal area also worked if we fealt so inclined. People need to stop assuming that everyone else is an idiot.

This word "tactic" you keep on saying, I do not think it means what you think it means.

I don't have much to say on the speed issue. Yes, they are hella fast. Maybe they should be slowed a little.

WRT the devil and his crazy agro: have you guys never heard of intimidate? Use it. Problem solved.

Just completed another run, devil, fire ele, trog, and orc. Even short a guy that DC'd and relogged on the wrong character, it really wasn't that big a deal. One caster kited the fire ele off and held him at a sliver, two tanks, a caster and cleric walled the orc and trog, and everyone else beat the devil down. Soon as the devil dropped, everyone there headed to the center, the caster took the fire ele down as soon as he saw the death messages for the trog and orc. Not hard at all, just takes a little planning.

Until you get the cat, fire ele, kobold and devil in the same group.

Except that isn't possible. The cat and devil are mutually exclusive, they cannot ever be in the same instance together.

I find now when you are in a pug, part 2 is the proving grounds.

Part 1 is a mindless auto-attack fest
part 2 challenges you to work as a team and communicate with each other. When you get it done, as a group, you feel good about it (well at least I do) and you know its gonna be an EZ run.

Lets face it...........

Part 1 can be done with a bot
part 2 could have been done with a few bots before the fix
part 3 can be solo'ed

It was right around part 4 & 5 when weaknesses in the group become all to clear............. and who wants to get that far into it only to fail.
With the fix............ if you cant get your group thru part 2, your done.


Better to know early on.



(and to be honest I didnt know that dragging them to the corners was an exploit.........with 4 bosses and 4 corners I honestly thought thats what was suppossed to happen........... call me naive....it wouldnt be the 1st time)

I thought that to and we used it but it did nothing. He didnt run around as much but still teleported 1-2 times every couple seconds regardless of who had aggro.

That's what intimidate is for. It works. It really does.

That and a crippling of tendon slicing weapon, so I hear (not confirmed by myself).

Their speed is fine, that part of the quest is not pure boredom anymore.
Even if you happen to kill the cat or the FE really close to center you can still break the crystal (but sometimes you have a kitty bonus)
