Well,DDO was working for me just fine till a few days ago...Since then,whenever I click on the launcher,It pops up,everything is fine till "Opening Main Form" then....Well,It dissappears. I tried re-installing for 2 times,checked for viruses,checked my firewall settings,tried opening it with anti-virus and firewall down,nothing worked.
Any ideas or suggestions I could make it work? As I am really looking forward to Mod 7,and...It really annoys me not being able to play it
By the way,I am using A XP home Edition.

Well,Im having some troubles finding the Launcher Log,as I cant find it in where the link under your name says It is.
I checked a few other places,found a few PD files under C:/Windows/Prefetch and thats about it :/
And by the way,I cant get to the point where I see Login Screen,where the password and username is typed,my launcher pretty much dissappears after a few seconds It pops up.Last edited by Arcane Lord; 06-04-2008 at 02:12 PM.

At which step do you have an issue? Are you unable to find a folder? Sometimes those folders are hidden. You can do this to show hidden files and folders:
1) Open My Computer
2) Click on Tools then Folder Options
3) Click the View tab
4) In the lower section, find "Hidden files and folders", place the radial dot next to "Show hidden files and folders"
5) Click Ok

Ah,I already did those...Anyways,I am now reinstalling the game to C drive,and will try to find the launcher log again.

Ironically,Once I got rid of that virus preventing me ,and the computer,from using hidden files,all is fine and my launcher is up and back!
Many thanks Yeti,for fast response and if It was not for your suggestion to look for hidden files,I would have never fixed that problem with the launcher.
